Ricky Stuart to make coaching switch from Parramatta Eels to Canberra Raiders

TODAY will be Ricky Stuart’s last game in charge of the Parramatta Eels.
An announcement on a switch to the Canberra Raiders will be made by the end of the week. It’s not just a decision based on Parramatta’s pathetic management set-up. There are personal reasons as well. Meanwhile, a complete unknown has emerged as the bolter for the vacant North Queensland Cowboys coaching position.Kristian Woolf has worked as an assistant to Anthony Griffin for two years at the Broncos. Before that he coached the Cowboys’ NYC team and is highly rated.

If Ricky goes I am not overly concerned (as there are still questions about his ability) as long as we appoint someone pretty bloody quick.

Now if Ricky does go his reputation is f**ked in my view , he can never seriously ask players to buy into his plan after what he put the eels players/squad/new signings though. He should apologise to izzy for questioning his character as Ricky has done the same. A dog forever in my view if he does leave.

You know what Josh, my only concern would be losing Hopoate but if he is a man of his word that shouldn't happen. I mean Hoppa not the ego maniac.

Hoppa was signed before we signed Stuart so couldn't have a get out clause if he left.

Id be more concerned about Norman or Peats TBH

Yep I don't want to lose him either - my main concern is stability, I am sick of the merry go around it does not look good in trying to rebuilding our beloved club. In fact you can't rebuild a club if the coach keeps on changing.

I am a Taylor fan (he should have been appointed for 2007). If Ricky does leave the best case scenario for me is if Ricky leaves, Taylor ( or another coach ) is appointed within 24 hrs.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next 48 hours with this. If he stays he stays but i will question why he didn't come out and back up his words in the melbourne conference of 'i've got a job to do here' but if he goes then i hope we are quick in naming a replacement but if it is Taylor i think he will end his finals campaign with Roosters before being announced

if he costs us players he should be sued

Sued for what? You can't sue someone for just because you think they're a dickhead.

Any clauses that actually exist were agreed to by our club....player contracts are with the club, not with the coach. If the club agrees to the inclusion of a release clause, not much we can do about that.

even if players do have get out clauses where are they going to go this late in the season when everyone has spent their cap for next year already

Dogs have money and need a FB.

That could make Hoppa & Norman targets. Or given Hayne wanted his new contract to tie in with when Ricky's finished, I'd hate the think the club may have allowed a get-out clause in his contract.

it could be kk and morts all over again drive up one players price so we cant afford both then pick up the other
