Thanks for posting this. I am a Panthers fan, but did watch the GF and really felt Manly got dudded, and I am really suprised there is not a lot more in the media about these errors.

Ovbiously, a lot of the dud calls led directly to points, for example the dud pass. But a few of them occured at a crucial point where moment swung, or could prevented Manly from really swinging the momentum, For example Pearce knocking the ball out from Foran.

I didn't really care who won on the day, but really felt Manly got ripped off and probably deserved to win. With the number of crucial dud calls that went towards the Roosters, I don't think they deserved the win.

But it is in the record books now.

I'm a neutral too & Manly were hard done by. Happy for Roosters to win, but they won on the back of some poor refereeing. Balin penalised for tackling Pierce kicking, Jennings playing at the ball n Roosters receiving scrum feed, Hargreaves losing the ball n headbutting the marker rewarded with 2 points, Lyon taken out going for a try, forward pass leading to 6 points etc etc... I also had no issues with the penalty try, in fact the Roosters player should also have been sent for 10 for professional foul.

But having said that, credit to the Roosters cause they were able to turn favourable referring decisions into points. Even with the luck of the calls, lesser teams wouldn't have been able to convert that into points against a tough side in Manly.

Manly never get favourable treatment from referees or the game's officials.

At least not in the past few days.
Haha. Qualifying final in 1996 v Roosters.

Ball is lying on the ground in the in-goal area. Roosters' centre Shane Rigon is clearly winning the race for the ball when he is tackled from behind.

No penalty try awarded.

Manly go on to win the game 16-14.

Roosters should have won the comp in 96 and 97 and Manly f**ked us both times. It was nice to get this one :D

Funny how Manly's first try doesn't seem to be in the video, it was a clear obstruction by Horo, missed by many.

Manly fans whinging like shit merkins, the universe is normal again

Pretty rich coming from the only person who could be in the running alongside Skeep as the biggest whiney merkin on LU.

When Morris was tackled in the grandstand? When we didn't get a penalty until the 70th minute? get a c**k up ya

Couldn't even wait to make another post before you started whinging again.

Roosters deserve to be premiers on the back of the season they had. I'm happy for the majority of Roosters fans because they've been pretty decent through the season and since the GF. Unfortunately merkins like yourself try to ruin it by being absolute dicks.
