Just to clear things up, Maloney is not a parramatta junior but a central coast junior and was signed by parra from the north Sydney bears, he captained our reserve grade team to gf win but never played first grade, he's since played for 2 other NRL clubs before he lead the roosters to gf victory...

So you might want to ask Souths why they couldn't identify him as a potential star when he was representing their feeder club.

Yup got his first FG gig with the storm but really made his breakthrough with the Warriors.

Sad that he left them considering they signed him when no one else wanted him and after the time they put in to him...

I don't think it was money though... The warriors offered him a big deal apparently, but his mrs was having the first kid so he wanted to move back to oz to be with family.

Also... You sure the bears were a souths feeder club at that time?? I'm pretty sure Matt King and Cooper Cronk came through the bears also... So they must have been a Storm feeder club for awhile....

Maybe Maloney was playing with the Bears when they were a Melbourne feeder club.
