It's a shame that it's so hard for Tonga to progress. I think they and Fiji will be the most exciting sides to watch. If Tonga and France had been reversed, we could have at least seen Tonga play Fiji (that would have been incredible) - but even still they would be doomed to be beaten by Australia.
I certainly think that if the players supported it, a trial WC giving selection priority to the outside nations would be a great experience. A way to level the playing field would surely attract supporters internationally who felt that their team had a chance at success.
Anyway, bring it on.
