I've always felt kind of proud after I"ve had a one night stand. It was never something I thought I'd be able to pull off.

Sure, some of them have been mingers, but a few have definitely been of the 'Why did I f**k that guy?' variety.

Knocked back a FWB last year, still kicking myself. Probably the right decision but shit it would've been fun, based off the couple of times we hooked up.

I remember when I was young and 'waiting for marriage', it caused a huge issue for me socially. I couldn't flirt with girls confidently knowing that if it went anywhere, I'd have to explain to them that I was:

a). A virgin
b). Not going to have sex with them

It basically meant I barely got involved with girls at all rather than deal with the awkwardness.

Of course, then I 'fell in love' and I've been a bit of a whore ever since.

Flirting wasn't so much of an issue. More the follow through.

When I managed to control my anxiety, I did have sex a couple of times prior to marriage, both as a non-Christian and a Christian (although I realised the hypocrisy of what I was doing) but the guilt around it was horrible. My standpoint is I feel sex is a very deep and intimate connection and to betray such an act by not being committed to the person is to betray part of how we are made.

Although I recognise I am in the minority with this view :lol:

I guess. I think part of it was steeped in a religious worldview though.

I did feel a level of responsibility for pulling my dick out in that it wasn't something you just flop any which way you wanted.

As in 98% have had sex? That's no surprise. We live in a culture that suggests sex is the beginnings of a relationship rather than the result of a committment to the relationship. The idea's of courtship and engagement have been lost.
