NRL Season launch 2014

I went with my old man last night, I had a great night! star players, coaches and even some celebrities were there

It was the first time ever where they allowed platinum members access to the event.

I had a long chat with Steve Price we discussed:

- Quinlan will definitely be playing fullback, he talked about Beale possibly getting a crack as well.

- He said Dugan was very lucky not to do his ACL.

- I asked him what he will do different this year and he said "we have some tricks up our sleeve"

I had a chat with Trent Merrin:

- He said the boys weren't happy with performance against bunnies, I then asked him how they will go against the tigers and he said I quote "we are going to f**king smash them"

Spoke with De Belin and he harped on about how hard the pre-season was, the boys all look super lean, fit and ready to go (especially merrin)

Widdop is also excited about the season, as is English recruit Cooper who cant wait to get there, (he's a big boy)

In conclusion we should all be excited for a big 2014

Also spoke with Cameron Smith which was pretty surreal

So being so pathetic in defence against souths as well as having no idea how to score tries in the 9's is all a master plan to lead all the other sides into a false sense of security.
Oh well at least he didn't say anything about "Dragons" footy.

PS
Trent do not give the tigers any ammunition.

Merrin: "we are going to f**king smash them".... double ROFL.... i cant remember the last time when our forwards really smashed anyone.. a good day is when they just hold their own nowadays...

i turned the match on after souths had scored twice and i was surprised to see us making good ground through the forwards. am i the only one who saw it this way. i think our forwards will kill it this year and our succsess will be on the
halves and backs.

38 -4 at one stage I think that about sums it up.

I think we are the best club for talking up what we are going to do on the field. I've heard the same bravado from the players and coach for 2 years...we're working hard, we know we can get it together, we've got new tricks...They can certainly "Talk the Talk" but I'm still waiting to see them "Walk the Walk"

trick
trɪk/
noun
noun: trick; plural noun: tricks

  1. 1.
a cunning act or scheme intended to deceive or outwit someone.
    • a mischievous practical joke.
    • an illusion.
  2. 2.
a skilful act performed for entertainment or amusement.

So taken literally Price with his bag of 'tricks' is either trying to decieve we fans or simply amuse us.

No indication that fans are the ones that he's trying to trick
