Brett is an asshole. Wish he'd keep to himself.

Yeah, I can't argue. Just never like supporting them these days. Endeavour, that is. Chapel Hills Mouvedre is actually quite sound too. Worth a go. /sigh - all my brand roadmap came to life too with them. The Devil, the rebranded labels, the Vinedresser etc etc. Good brand. Tyrian is an...

Calling Tony Leon co-founder of Dan Murphy's is pretty ludicrous but fits with his gigantic ego. I'm surprised the bloke fits through doors these days. I reckon Tony is looking to bring in Steve's Liquor at some level and leverage the work he's done there to build out the footprint. In any...

Claymore's Nirvana drunk last night. Lastest vintage. Smooth, silky, soft on palate yet big on flavour. Great oak.

It may play out for the reasons you say. Very big possibility. See, that's a really cool idea. All that - gone. For a corporate dime.

I don't think you realise how much damage Steve Donohue did too. He really f**ked the place. Appointing a Tennis CEO is possibly the worst thing they could have done IMHO as the problem is DNA related and how Endeavour helps lift the market out of its quagmire. She has zero understanding and I...

I kinda disagree. Endeavours new CEO is an arselicking bitch and I don't think she rights the ship. I also think Dan's selection has eroded over years. It's so same same and people are over it. Your assessment of the quickly liquor store is right - and a consequence of the above. People want...

Tbh, the best thing for the industry right now is for both the monolithic arseholes to fall over. The shelf space taken up by Pinnacle in Dans, BWS and Busby Wines in Liquorland has effectively cruelled the industry horrifically. A massive reset is needed.

Wow, my history on your shelf. Awesome story :) Still makes me sad to hear how that idea just fizzled due to lack of banner support. We did a second run in normal bottles. Wines weren't quite as good but were still sound. The Monte and Aglianico remain stand outs. How did they hold up?

The Coles disaster is unlucky in one sense; Endeavour is about to get a huge overhaul and the changes there would have seen opportunity for First Choice etc in market.

Pulled an old Avon Brae shiraz '17 out of the shed from my Cellarmasters days. Appreciating how much wine is about memories and people and a point in time.

Have tasted through some Tarrawarra, Rob Dolan, Sidewood Estate, Einstone etc lately. Some ripper wines out there.
