    Football Dept changes

Agreed. We conceded 25 points a game in ‘21 even worse that McGuber’s & Young’s ‘20 season. To be competitive in ‘22 that figure needs to be <20 or we’ll just be mid lower table again.

    Football Dept changes

Griffin was never going to get sacked, I was asking for change & the club has made changes. For once I’m choosing to be positive & see how things play out. Matty Head coached well at NSW Cup level so he does have some experience. Let’s see what happens.

    Football Dept changes

I’ve been leading the chorus for younger support staff around Griffin so I’m happy with the announcement. A few Matt Head critics on here, I suggest waiting until next season before casting judgements. All in all a positive step forward.

    Football Dept changes

Posted in my second home the ‘sack Griffin’ thread, I think all the changes are positive. Things needed to change but there was never going to be wholesale changes either. I rate Matt Head & Sowie their greater involvement is a good thing. If Matt Elliott can have a impact in his new role then...

    Sack Griffin

Never let the facts get in the way of a good rant! :) Anyway I’m happy, I’ve been calling for a shake up in the coaching staff so at least some changes have been made. I rate Matt Head he’s a very smart guy, it’s good to see his efforts rewarded. Also I like Sowie getting more responsibility...

    Sack Griffin

Hope you’re correct & this is more his forte because he sucks as a defensive coach.

    Sack Griffin

Exactly, some nondescript role to avoid paying out his contract

    Sack Griffin

Gone from a coaching role, that’s all that matters

    Sack Griffin

I’m pretty happy with this, Elliott had to go. Looks like someone at the Club was listening https://www.dragons.com.au/news/2021/10/21/dragons-announce-2022-football-department-appointments/

    2022 Squad: Gains, Losses & Re-signings.

Yes obviously. meaning: easily perceived or understood; clear, self-evident, or apparent. de Belin bleeds red & white, put his character flaws to the side he’s the first player picked every week. He loves the club & the club must love him given all the support he was given. Who’s McInnes? A...

    2022 Squad: Gains, Losses & Re-signings.

Not a rumour but I just read Brett Morris is joining Jason Ryles as assistant coach at the Chooks. Once Griffin is inevitably sacked next year for being useless there are a few ex Dragons out there in assistant coaching roles. Just saying..,,

    2022 Squad: Gains, Losses & Re-signings.

He’ll be playing lock at the Scum, he’d obviously be behind JdB, Fuimaono & Moose with us. Good luck to him I hope his knee holds up, he’s a whole hearted player but I’m not sure he’ll have much impact at Lock.

    2022 Squad: Gains, Losses & Re-signings.

I didn’t enjoy watching Frizzle play for Newcastle either. We can only assume there’s a succession plan in place for dummy half I just wish we knew what it is!

    2022 Squad: Gains, Losses & Re-signings.

Yes that’s true, the only games Bird missed were through suspension which says a lot about our medical staff. But Bird’s speed & mobility were obviously lacking which is why many on here have him playing second row. Big year for Jack in ‘22 he’s out of contract so I’m expecting him to have a...
