Or 9th!! FFS

Another result our way head to head against Broncos, Panthers or Sharks guarantees us top 8, but the cool thing is 1 result compared to each of them guarantees us top 6. That is, 1 more win and we get a home final*

*the caveat here is a 3rd/4th finish doesn’t actually guarantee us a BankWest final in week 2 or 3.
But SURELY the NRL wouldn’t force us to play at ANZ

We cant finish 9th. Penrith can finish on 28points maximum and have a -126 points difference compared to Eels.

Top 8 is now guaranteed.

One more win will guaranteed a minimum home final 6th.

Imo we need to finish 5th which gives us a home final first up against Penrith/Broncos (sharks will finish 7th imo.

That also likely puts us on the side of the draw that avoids Melbourne, and keeps us in Sydney if thing stay as they are or as expected.

Week 1: Broncos/Penrith at Bankwest
Week 2: Souths at ANZ
Week 3: Roosters at SCG

Souths are the least threatening of the top 4 and ANZ isn’t a home ground as such and somewhere we are comfortable playing at.

At least we’d have the majority support in a roosters prelim at the SCG and it offers no home ground advantage

What if we lose by 50 in each of the next 3 games?

So you’re saying it’s not guaranteed? Granted if we can’t maintain that 126 points differential we probably don’t deserve to be in finals

I'm still saying 26 points will see a finals berth. At 28 we are locked in.

As an aside, with some freaky f**ked up results, the Dogs could still make 7th place on 24 points, not gonna happen, but it's mathematically possible at this stage.
