I was joking but Egan isn't our 3rd best option. When fit he is easily better than Kenny who he was equal with while managing a shoulder similar to Yeo. In time he'll be better than Api as well IF the club actually takes the time to develop them properly.

I can’t say I agree, Api is a much better hooker and Kenny is more versatile for the bench. Unfortunately the writing is on the wall for Egan. He just hasn’t kicked on like I though he would.

Egan should hang around and fight for his spot. Just because we signed Api doesn’t mean is going to play CC. Dig in, have a big off season and make the position his own.

Korosaiu has been playing the same or less minutes than the young gun hooker the Sea Eagles have so I don’t see why Egan or Kenny should be throwing the towel in.

Api is not without his injury concerns. Played 20 games this year but only 13 the year before. Plenty of opportunities for Egan to show what he has got. Also Ivan likes to have a hooker on the bench so Egan should at least get a look in there.

We have a lot of promising juniors but I honestly think the club is pretty poor at identifying the best ones and/or developing them. And by developing them, I don’t just mean skills and tactics but also desire and attitude.

You can blame Gus for this. I am telling you straight up. A very close 2nd would be our coaching staff including our much esteemed 'assistants'.

Cleary does not have that good an eye for real talent either despite his reputation of promoting juniors.

Egan this year has been solid but not great playing busted. There's every chance he takes over from Api at some point once healthy.

Really depends what you want in your 14. Seems we want Api to play big minutes, so I assume your 14 will be covered by a utility - May, Kenny -, rather than another Hooker - Egan.

If that was the case, King Katoa should of been the man.

I think looking for a utility is the issue of the people here. The team is much stronger with two specialist hookers going forward who have to improve their game and fight for a spot.

One the Sivo thing. Looking at tries alone it looks bad. Change Sivo for either of our wingers we don't score any extra tries..

Parra's wingers touch the ball more in one game then ours do in a month. We use ours as extra forwards not attacking weapons as the ave metres a game shows

I think Kenny has plenty of improvement in him, I’m confident he’ll lock down the bench hooker spot.

According to most forums the player managers do this stuff regularly to manipulate clubs. Don't know how true it is though.

Happens all the time. Remember these journos have managers too.. Often the same as x player does
