The way they are going they will never be a great club again ...... St George side and the Illawarra side of the merger seem to be split ..... One year it's the Illawarra side chairman of the board, then the next year its the St George side of the merger .....
Let's get little Andy Gordon in again, he'll get us out of the garbage bin......maybe he can talk his number 1 best mate back.......MARY....😅

Right or wrong this whole matter is turning into a major distraction. The situation needs to go away and the only way forward that I can see is to sack Griffin, sign Hasler and turn to a new page in Dragons history.
possm do you want a coach handling the dragons who is caught up in huge legal battles with another club, his head may not be in the right place

Whether or not you rate him, Gos did exactly what is expected of a player who is dropped from first grade - went to ressies and played so well that he was named in the NSW cup team of the year.

Apparently our team this year was so outstanding that he couldn’t break back into the top 22.

What message does that send to the rest of the squad? Or to the young blokes?

So true. I hope the board reads this thread. It could be a light bulb moment.

Can't help thinking these clowns running our club are the cause of our problems. Right from the top, Board level to the football dept & Coaching staff. Hopefully the NRL will step in and show some leadership.
Yes, I agree, the NRL should step in and right the ship just after Hasler is signed for 3 years. Then:
Sack the Board and find good business people to come in and run the place properly.

We desperately need a good chairman, head of football, and head coach. From there, if we have good fitness staff we should be off and running.

Never heard of the Cooper White and all the other juniors that the press has been talking about as though we are letting the next 5 immortals slip through our fingers. Facts are most don't make it in first grade, even ones that were stars as juniors.

The journos should perhaps concentrate on why Munster is willing to take a $400k loss per year to stay at the Storm and not go to the Dolphins if their own figures are correct and how it distorts the competition and ability of lower teams to attract talent. Obviously going home to QLD, playing for a coach who has won the most comps and who you acknowledged when he coached you in SOO, being part of an exciting new team from the outset and playing with half your former Storm forward pack requires more than 400k in compensation difference.

We're an easy target at the moment that's why.
Totally understandable to sacrifice $400,000 per year because the Storm are a great bunch of blokes. I'd do the same. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

What I have read about Cooper White is as follows:-

"SON OF A GUN JUMPS SHIP

Remember former Wests and Illawarra halfback of the 1990's Josh White? White actually began his career in the Bulldogs juniors and now his son is following in his footsteps.

Cooper White, 18, a gun young fullback who has been killing them in the Dragons' junior league, has signed with the Bulldogs for next season.

White has impressed the men that matter at the Bulldogs, notably club boss Phil Gould.

The youngster has superb acceleration and the ability to break the line and is one to watch in coming years.

White would have been happy to stay at the Dragons but the club was slow coming up with an offer and the Bulldogs swooped."

This has come from the Mole so take it or leave it.

If this is the case, what is this "happy to stay at the Dragons but they were slow coming up with an offer"? Maybe he isn't much chop and that is why the Dragons didn't offer him a deal but the read shows some ineptness in the club. I'm starting to despise the Bulldogs even more now with that Gus and that goody good shoes Ciraldo guy. I'm sick of hearing/reading about them and the worse thing is they will be in the top 8 next year - bastards.

That is the intention to get people angry. Truth doesn't matter to the mole. What gets the most clicks is all that matters, and getting Dragons fans pissed off with the club gets a lot of clicks

Canberra has pulled off a shock attack on St George Illawarra, pinching five of the best up-and-coming players from the Dragons' ranks.
In an audacious move, the Raiders have lived up to their name by snaring five rising stars in a move that has infuriated the Dragons.
The five 18-year-olds were seen as part of the future plans of the Dragons - and at least six more quality youngsters have been signed by other clubs, as well.

The players who have made the move to the ACT are Country under-18s and Dapto fullback Jack Piccirilli, hooker Jaxon Lavender, the Dragons' under-18 player of the year from the Dapto Canaries, utility back Sean Trindall (Shellharbour Stingrays), fullback Judd Stevenson (Corrimal Cougars) and centre James Walsh (Albion Park).

Local officials in the Illawarra area are dismayed at the ambush by the Raiders, blaming the Dragons for failing to move on the talented youngsters.
"It's very disappointing and you can't blame the kids," one local league coach told Wide World of Sports.
"We have put 10 years of hard work into some of these guys.
"They are all massive talents but the Dragons just let them go."
News of the departures will be seen as another body blow by disappointed Dragons fans.
Only a few days ago, it was revealed that just three of the club's top-30 players turned up to the annual awards presentation night in a clear sign of the disharmony in the ranks.
Well it looks like Walsh and Stevenson have also been named in the Steelers SG ball side
