It's funny, because the Labor party these days aren't really left at all - they're just centre, with a slightly different style to the Libs and Nats.

From left to right:
Greens - Labor - Liberals/Nationals - One Nation and other nutters.

My guess is that your ipad page came out of the box aligned to the right ;)
Labor and coalition are equal left, right and centre. The tax to GDP ratio tells me this is so. They just react to what they perceive will buy them votes. Cynical, but true.

Spud was on 7:30 last night and said a few times that Australians are paying 27% more tax since labor got the keys. What the ?

Oh, revenue is up. Meaning that wages are up in some sectors and or employment numbers are up and that has garnered increases in revenue. So individuals are not oaying more tax, Spud you tricker.

That's one of those 'you can make stats mean whatever you want them to' moments.
Context is key.

Wages are up in some sectors 😉

We are paying more tax just not on wages.

Yep, life's always easier when you wake up one day, realise being a lefty is stupid and then you go and marry a billionaire.
I was waiting to see how long it took for someone to catch the ignorance of her privilege.

It's always funny when rich people talk about how lefties make it hard for businesses because they want to, you know, look after the peope who actually work for those businesses as opposed to the people who own them.

They do pay them for their work. And they are also free to leave if they dislike the conditions, pay or job yeah? As far as I know that's how places operate.

That's how I see it. Individuals need to decide how much they think is fair as far as effort goes for what they are paid.

So instead of having workplace laws, it should just be free-for-all, cos the worker can just leave if they don’t like it ? What if there are no more jobs out there ? This is exactly why unions were formed way back then.

Sounds very Trumpy. No min wage. No unfair dismissal. No rights. f**k you workers.

^^^^ meanwhile at the US border. As much as some will say that millions are flooding into the US every day, facts are that the people who are actually willing to work in hospitality, cleaning and other blue collar jobs - are now hard to find.

So much so that Florida (good old book burning Florida) are winding back child slavery laws.

It’s not a long bow.

There are alternatives to “ if you don’t like it, just leave”

AND if you drill into the policies of the RW liberal think tank funded by Gina, they want no min wage etc. They hate unfair dismissal laws.

It's not the 1970s anymore. Unions served a purpose and did a good job. Im sure some still do. Now days people do business a little differently.
Get with the times you dumb merkin
