It would be a brave judge to hand down a custodial/prison sentence on a former PUSA in July - and Trump would appeal so not need to serve it for some time.

I think likely sentence is likely community-based probation maybe with some business restrictions etc - again will be appealed so he has freedom to campaign etc freely ahead of November anyway.

But surely this judgement should have an impact on non-Republican members/voters over there? With the voluntary voting system in the US it's all about people having a reason to get out and vote - and maybe this gives a lot of (good, sensible) people who normally wouldn't bother some motivation to turn up, and outnumber those (dumb, stupid) people that will fall in line behind Trump...
