I thought it was a decent win, still a little clunky at times and the Garner try on the stroke of HT was crucial.

Credit to the Eels I thought they had a real crack and probably didn’t deserve to go in behind at HT.

The second half while still not anywhere near our best was clinical and we gob the job done well in the end.

Just finished a 9 hour drive so I haven't watched it yet but from the radio call it sounded like Kenny had an absolute shocker

He had a knock on very close to the line when an Eels player struck his hands as he passed. And 5 mins later threw an intercept from a very similar position. Both times the Eels players were well offside, and the ref ignored it.

Late in the second half (again close to the line), he ran himself when we had them shot on the left hand side. But in this case there were 2 Eels players lying in the ruck on that side, and he just couldn't get the ball away.

Vossy was blowing up about it all on Fox/Kayo, and I'm sure the radio caller was the same, but the ruck was an absolute mess all game. If these things happen in a big game, with a competent ref, we rightly get the call.

that intercept pass was diabolical how offside the parra player was - touchies stealing a salary yet again

Kenny's pass in the leadup to Garner's try was very good - allowed Casey to catch on the front foot and set it up nicely for Garns

In regards to competent refs, we yet again won more than one captains challenge.
This reinforces the blatant bias against the Panthers in the 50/50 calls.
The same with when opposition teams score iffy tries, every ref sends them up as try just incase there is no camera angle to say no try. But the iffy ones from Penrith always get sent up no try so that the on field decision stands.

Liam Henry gave away some silly pressure relieving penalties.

I thought Lindsay Smith was phenomenal yesterday. Really stood up and his try in the dying stages of the game was just reward.

Tago had a belter of a game too. Looked a real handful and his flick to Alamoti was a peach.

I still think we have a lot more to offer this season which is exciting.

Hopefully Schneider at 13 is a sign of how the 14 will play in the team. He was owned in defence but in the middle we can hide it well enough.

Even Laurie could do time in the middle. We need the extra play maker for when the side is struggling

Happy to take the W and move on.
The 2nd half was much better.
Papali’i was outstanding.

Paps & Blaize are starting to look so very good. That raw boned Patea is also improving each game.

Do others think perhaps it's worthwhile keeping Laurie on a low ended deal of maybe 1 or 2 years. He earnt his money both yesterday and over in New Zealand..

Don't know of many others who would do as well on small money......
