Another round with tight scores except Pia away at Toulouse.
Carcassonne also won away in a big match on the ground of their ancestral rival Limoux

Special game played this Saturday in Carcassonne between "France B" (Super XIII french players) and "Koala" (selection of lads from S H playing in French clubs)

They used to have a Magic round every year. For a while you got three points instead of two for a win on Magic round but I’m also sure that Elite 1, as it was, had a strange points system anyway.

I’m not sure when Magic was ditched but it’s a shame they can’t centre it around a Catalans or Toulouse Super League game (or even Catalans v Toulouse) and have a real festival of French rugby league.

Think the last one was for round 1 season 2019/2020.

French Super XIII is a semi pro competition, hard to mobilize all players and fans for a 2 days lasting event.

And also Super XIII French supporters don't have a long tradition of traveling fans, they support their team at home but there are not many to go away.

And the range of sporting and cultural events is so wide that a Magic RL Weekend doesn't make the difference.

Beaten in the previous round at home Pia went to win in Avignon with a one point difference.
Another very close match was decided after a missed penalty goal in front of the posts 2 minutes before the end and thanks to a successful drop goal on last play the ball of the game, both action in favor to the winner Albi.
2 pts difference for Villefranche against Villeneuve in a close encounter too

Last week results

Another close round which saw the first draw of the season, as St Estève and Pia failed to score in extra time.
Villefranche won away by a single point, scoring in the final action of the game, with the conversion securing the victory.
The only team to win comfortably is Carcassonne, thus confirming their position as league leaders and establishing themselves as one of the favorites for the competition.

This week no Super XIII games, theres's a round of the knock out Lord Derby Cup

After Christmas and New Year break, after quarter-finals of Lord Derby french Cup (Albi, Carcassonne, Lézignan and lower resident division VARL qualified for semis) return of the Super XIII with the eleventh and last round of the first phase of the regular season.

Due to heavy rain forecast for this Sunday in the Perpignan area, the game at St Estève has been brought forward to this Saturday
