Regarding the two semi-finals, which will most likely be:

Winner Group A vs 2nd place from Groups B/C combined
Runner-up Group A vs 1st place from Groups B/C combined

I can't find anywhere regarding which venue will be allocated which semi-final (or if Australia is simply going to be allocated the Allianz Stadium semi-final regardless of whether they finish 1st or 2nd in Group A, given it's the larger venue)

That Friday 16 October game, with Samoa and France as before 6pm will be a nightmare for people to get to. Will be hoping many stay around to see the Australian women put a cricket score on Samoan women.

People have short memories. Lebanon always aim up at Worls Cups. They hung in with Aus in 2017, pushed Eng & only lost by 2 to 2026 opponents Tonga

Not seeing any answers to how the Semi Final fixtures are going to work, as in who plays where?

Made this same comment.

I'm going to guess, it will either be the group placement venue allocation:

- 2nd place in Group A vs 1st place from Groups B/C at Newcastle
- 1st place in Group A vs 2nd place from Groups B/C at Allianz Stadium

OR

Allianz Stadium will be pre-selected as the venue Australia will play their semi-final at, regardless if they finish 1st or 2nd in Group A (as its the bigger venue), much like how their quarter-final was pre-selected to be played in Darwin, and subsequently their semi-final in Brisbane (due to the other semi-final held in New Zealand) during the 2017 RLWC

I've got my tickets for the opener. Bit of a bummer that it's on a Thursday night..

Can't do Samoa v France as they're 6pm on a Friday. Too hard to get to for me.

England vs PNG at Wollongong, 8pm on a Friday might be doable.

The Lebanon v France and Tonga v Samoa double header looks very tempting. Shame it's not at a bigger ground.

If Australia play their semi at Allianz, I'll probably go to that.

I'll think about the final for the moment.

Yep.

Very poor scheduling having a Friday game commencing so ridiculously early. Don't know why it couldn't start at 8:05pm, like the games on the following two Fridays.

Regarding the commentators for the tournament, please oh PLEASE Channel 7....don't pick Mark "they MUST score" Braybrook again as main caller.

It will certainly sold out at Commbank, but they've really missed an opportunity with playing it at a bigger venue. Did they not see the crowd at Suncorp?

They've literally left a least 20,000 ticket sales. Probably $1-2M. Sitting on the table. Boneheaded decision unless Venues NSW is paying through the roof for it. Even then Allianz/Accor

Newcastle getting a semi? Holy f**k we’re being treated decently for once. Will be there for sure. Kind of interesting as I feel Newcastle is potentially a better fit for a group game. There’s a lot of support for the womens game here and I think if Australia play in Newy we’d near sell out the women’s game alone.
