I.m surprised no one has posted Eric Dane passing away from motor neuron disease aged 53 . Eric was one of the handsome men to ever walk this planet. His final goodbye speech was heart breaking to watch.

Saddened at the news just coming in that Lorraine Bayly who starred in The Sullivans and Carsons Law besides being in many plays and stage shows has passed away. I had met a few times and was a lovely lady, will be sadly missed.

I just read that Jamie Dunn, the guy behind Agro, passed away today.

I gotta say, I'm kinda gutted by this. As a kid of the 80s / 90s, I grew up watching Agro, and as I got older and YouTube became a thing, I loved him even more as an adult, watching all those things that you just could not say or do anymore, especially on TV, and even more especially on kids TV!

He was going to be touring around Australia with some fella called 'Ben From Brisbane' in 2020, and I was keen to see him when they got to Perth, but alas, covid intervened and it got cancelled. I've been keeping my eyes open for it to be announced again, but that's now not to be.

One of my all time favourite artist and song writer Neil Sedaka has passed away just short of his 87th birthday.

and my all time favourite of his

Bought my mum a Neil Sedaka compilation as a birthday present sometime in the 80s. Songs from all eras. She was an early-60s teenybopper. I was more lured by the 70s material recorded with 10cc at Strawberry Studios.

I still have my 7 inch vinyl single of Wheeling West Virginia from 1969, that was my favourite song of his, he recorded it while in Australia, strangely for a song about America and the American dream it failed to chart there, it only charted in Australia and New Zealand. Like you some of the stuff he did with 10cc backing him was his best.

Another interesting bit of trivia was that Benny and Bjorn got Neil Sedaka and Phil Cody to arrange the lyrics of Ring Ring for them into English.
