I think Joash at fb is actually a pretty solid back up. Wing depth is shit but preseason showed we can make it work with samrani or kelly for a period of time. What is worrying will be next season and our backline depth without sean. I hope we make some moves for next season

JAC is preparing to be playing in round 3, round 4 at worst. It's not that serious an injury, and the insert of a plate means quicker recovery. Yes he was electric last year, but other than accepting a gift try from Russell, he didnt look better than any of our other outside backs in the first half vs roosters - i wouldnt say we have zero strike without him.


who? There is no decent outside backs available for this year - which is largely why we havent signed anyone. We have some decent juniors who will get game time this year to determine if they can make the step up, or need to go to market for 27

If this happened before he became an Eel ,then surely the most appropriate course of action would be a private discussion with Ryles? Why should he be suspended for something that happened before he even joined the club?

If it is found that he was doing this as an Eel, then we get onto the second point - proof that what he was doing was illegal needs to be submitted.

It could be any number of substances which are not illegal.

That would be fkn hilarious. I feel like targetting mitch will only be worth it if we manage to get him this year. Lomax ironically would suit the warriors quite well. I think it would be a good situation for both teams, minus lomax being a merkin. Hopefully the nrl gets their blowtorch out

This is why I am so pessimistic about our season. Our lack of NRL depth in the backline was alarming BEFORE Lomax left.

Season hasn’t even started we’ve lost our best back in JAC for a reported 8 weeks. He has been electric and I think we have zero strike without him.

Ionghi “might” get suspended, who knows, crazier things have happened but Ryles I imagine will want to send a message and fair enough if he does.

The season hasn’t even started yet but we are discussing who will fill 2 spots in the backline.

I love what we are developing but we need some decent f**king recruitment as of yesterday.

4. Kelly
5. Russell

The least experienced is Papalii and he has played half a season.

We signed JAC and Lomax last year; two of the best wingers in the game.

Certainly Kelly can fill a backline spot when the need arises, if anyone suggests Tago/Alemeddine are worth a try, then not sure you watched any lower grades last year. Pou will provide some stats, but both were targeted by reserve grade and Flegg sides for a reason.

Why bang on about Tago and Alameddine? The latter isn't even on a development contract, and these guys are ahead of both of them:
