2026 Crowd Watch

Looking at some of the Round 1 games:

Vegas Double Header:
Sales map as of this morning. Hard to get a true read on how many have been sold, for every few rows that seem to sell out, another one seems to pop up, although it feels like more are being removed than are being replaced.

As it stands, I don't see how this double header ends up with a crowd less than 35K. As mentioned in other threads we are selling into areas that we never sold into last year, and the ticket sales map is well ahead of 2024.

Warriors v Roosters:
Match is on track for a 20K+ crowd, will come down to how sales continue to trend in the southern stand. Currently the back 10-15 rows of the southern upper hasn't been put on sale, though hopefully that will change by the weekend.

Manly v Raiders:
Outside of the lounge and bar, all other reserve seats have been sold (or are being held back). Match will be comfortably sold out by kick off.

I didn't realise until today they had a 2 for 1 ticket promotion (When you put in a promo code)... This morning when I did it a few doezen tickets from were available to buy from various bays on level 3... Now it's saying no more tickets available.

Surely they'll open up more for this promo? Allegiance Stadium on a post on Instragram had the promotion running until kick off basically.

They may add some more soon. I notice they've put some more tickets on sale through the NRL 9s 2 for 1 offer :

Mt Smart will sell out, South Stand are the cheaper seats.

1st five Broncos games will be sold out by Friday. I'd be very surprised if the entire season isn't sold out by the end of March.
A Broncos home game has become a must-see event, with what the League are doing with Claxton street and the fan experience, if the Fins can get to the same point it`s going to be very hard for other sports to get any oxygen in that city.

Which then makes it a big toss up whether NZ2 or Ipswich (BNE3) is the next cab off the rank. I'd still lean towards NZ2, but BNE3 seems like a must as well. But how many teams do you need? 20 seems to be the right number.

Agree with this. Our members have hammered the presale, maybe 800 tickets left to Round 1 v Penrith. We need 65k minimum at this point.

Tomorrow is going to be a mad scramble for the general public.

If any Sydney team is to move, that's the one that is most obvious. Terrible home ground, fans that won't travel out of the shire. It's all very limiting compared to all other clubs in Sydney. Dragons could do with the lift by gaining those areas of support over time.

Moving beyond 20 teams just seems like a long way away but it does feel like both NZ2 and Brisbane3 are high priorities.

I was half joking about Christchurch Sharks, there is definitely merit to it but I’d also worry about alienating the shire. The shire is a very active and high participation area we don’t want them switching to fumbleball.

It’s a tricky situation.

They won't travel out of the shire now. Why would they suddenly want to go into Moore Park to watch that?

Would I be right in thinking that the Broncos putting lower bowl corner seats (eg 317) as Diamond is a new thing this year?

Seems a lil excessive. But it's working I guess..

Yep. Outrageous for those sections to be 'diamond'! They've done a whole bunch of pricing up categories.

I'm sure that some of these categories will be heavily discounted against other opposition though.

Storm vs Eels - 24k
Wahs vs Roosters - 24k

Could be the biggest round ever if the rain doesn't continue in the weekend

It's wild that to sit a family of 4 in those so-so seats for the Broncos game is $756. 2 days later they could sit in the same seats with the Dolphins for $125.

Hopefully with people being unable to get tickets or priced out of Broncs game the dolphins will get a crowd boost

Problem is only going to get worse even if Suncorp goes to 61k that’s years away

By the time Suncorp does get upgraded to 61k it will be too small for them still

ESpecially if they win another premiership

Only if you double count Vegas. And in that case, round 1 1999 would like a word (105k at the Olympic Stadium double header). Also Magic Round.
