Time will tell I guess.

We are all about to embark on another journey. May God bless all who sail in her.

Hitting home a bit more now. I love Sif. I know the players love "Chief".

All in all we have had 7 seasons. 120-140+ games. He leaves us right before he turns 30. He has been a joy to watch. Personally I would have loved to of kept him for another season or two but we got his best years. He is 30 next year, made grade late. Has 3 kids I think maybe 4. This is a big pay day for him. He deserves it but make no mistake he is on a good wicket here. He is going to help build a new club - this might be his last shot to win it all. A fired up Talakai for the next 12 months could be special. He is a cult hero at the club for the rest of his life no matter what he does at the Bears.

Timing it works for us and him. We need a change. People will whinge and say move on Toby, BHU etc. Well watch this space and see. But reality is JC is our 13 moving forward. Wilton and Brit our edges. I have pushed for Sifa to play prop but when we have Hazleton, Kaufusi, AFB etc it is hard to squeeze him in.

I can't express how much I love Sifa. Just I get it - from both sides. It is hard to say goodbye. I f**ken love Sifa. I will be cheering for him at the Bears. That night against Manly is probably a top 5 night at the footy for mine.

Teig is 27 at the end of this year. He is signed until the end of 2027. I agree he needs to take a Blayke Brailey jump but it is not apples for apples.
Great post.
Whilst it hurts, getting the white board out to analyse Sifa would indicate it’s the best outcome for all parties. But that might be my leanings the the west coast talking. I’ve already had my nephew message me stoked at him and Sorensen taking up the option.
Imagine Sifa in Perth on a shit tonne of Meninga money. Well done. 👍

So who are we sailing into Quiggsy?
The great unknown my friend, the great unknown. We will be navigating our way through the unpredictable and unchartered oceans of the NRL

Be prepared and just expect the unexpected.

The Nathan decision was just a little teaser.

Sifa move makes sense for all concerned
Sifa gets a good length contract and pay day.
Perth get an experienced forward, who at a pinch covers centre, they need those type of players.
Sharks well we win in that we would have had to up what we had to pay, and risk you sign him 2 or 3 years that last year he has gone downhill.
Better to lose a player a year earlier then have them a year to long.

It's actually a win for everyone

Followed Sifa since he joined us from Penrith. I wish him only the best, bank that paycheque , keep the family tight. The game time is short. I’m going to miss watching you. But you will always be a Shark.

Talakai going to Perth is similar to them signing Scott Sorensen both bench players for current clubs who have been integral players, but for both last big contract good money and length of deals and to be starters and chance to set a culture for a new club

Sifa will get facilities he has never seen before. Wonder what he missed out on at more mature clubs. Good on him.

Why would Parra push back so hard but then potentially allow him to join another club anyway? Doesnt make much sense. I’d be very surprised if we got him.
