I'll be very interested to see how he handles the decline and end of the big 3 era over the next several years. Can they transition without bottom 4 seasons?

The next 5 years will help me decide if he's a truly great coach, not the last 5.

For once, BM may have a point. Can Bellamy renew the Storm while keeping them competitive, ala Wayne Bennett at the donkeys?

Bennett always had stars coming and going. There were never really mass retirements.

Meanwhile Bellamys big 3:
Slater DOB: 18 June 1983
Smith DOB: 18 June 1983
Cronk DOB: 5 December 1983

They all turn 30 this year. Over the next couple of years they could all begin declining at the same time and be more likely to suffer injuries. And they have 2mill+ of cap space wrapped up in those three.

Bennett never had to deal with circumstances like that. If Bellamy manages to handle retirement of all 3 without a bottom 4 season or more than a single non top 8 season, he should be considered one of the very best ever coaches.

hey BM..your coach Madge was at Storm as an assistant to CRAIG BELLAMY and learned alot off CB.Just appreciate that fact.
Madge helped Wigan to a premiership and has helped your team to finals.

Yeah, same with Parra fans, Steve Kearny was his assistant as well.
