    Stewart banned till rnd 5

As per the LeagueHq article ""The key line from Gallop after the ban and fine had been imposed was that Manly had "undertaken to review its ongoing stance in relation to Brett playing from round five on the basis of any new information that may come to light". In other words, the league expects...

    Stewart banned till rnd 5

Ok so Manly in initially taking a stance - that had been done by other clubs in the past upset Gallop and the NRL... They enforced their punishment ( I do get the reasons behind and the fact they are trying to clean the reputation of the game itself up - I can also relate to the outcry). They...

    Stewart banned till rnd 5

My comments were in regards to the suggestion that any player facing charges be stood down even before innocence or guilt was determined.

Some Sanity From The Usual Crap At The Telegraph

Inclined to agree. Given he will be able to play after the 7 April hearing must just be a co-incidence no? Or will 4 weeks suspension become the norm, depending of course on media build up. What will the league do if a new sexual assault claim is brought against a player and no alcohol is...

Brett Stewart found not guilty of sexual assault

Ok if that was the case fair enough. Initially the "crash tackle" was not mentioned and it was the father went to her defence. It was not mentioned even with his and the mothers subsequent reports to the media. In fact they went to neighbour to call the police.... The chat and the stairwell...
