Fans want expansîon to perth and brisbane

I reckon they should just go all out and put in all four and split into conferences of four. Now is the time to dominate. The interest is there.

Fans want expansîon to perth and brisbane

Need to capitalise on New Zealand now. Get Wellington in. Not much of a surprise that Australian fans wouldn't vote to make them stronger. Either relocate or merge a Sydney side to fit all three in.

Traditional 'nicknames' of English RL clubs

Hull FC are the Airlie Birds because their old ground The Boulevard was situated on Airlie Street. Obviously a play on "the early bird gets the worm". The less said about Sharks the better! Weren't Bradford known as the Steam Pigs at one point? As for Oldham, is it pronounced Rough-yeds...

NFLize the NRL in Team Numbers

Well technically it isn't an NRL now anyway as NZ isn't in Australia. And there should be an Adelaide team in, but they haven't submitted a bid so I didn't include them.

NFLize the NRL in Team Numbers

Perth are going to be far apart from everyone. It's hardly going to make much difference having then travel a little bit further for what is effectively only one fixture (as they'd still play everyone anyway regardless of which group they're in). The cross conference games might not be a draw...

    DeMerge Magpies and Tigers

I reckon they should add Cronulla to the Wests merger as the Wests Tigers Sharks. They play at 3 grounds anyways, so might as well make it in Cronulla. Relocate Penrith to Perth as the Perth Panthers (it's only a couple of letters out, no one would notice!), and that leaves room for Wellington...

NFLize the NRL in Team Numbers

Best option for me would be to merge the SL and NRL (as separate conferences), put together groups of four and build the season around that. Australasian Conference: West Sydney Group: Wests Tigers, Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers, Canterbury Bulldogs. East Sydney Group: Cronulla Sharks...

    What about Orcas?

    Brisbane Bombers Bid

That's the connection I made too. It will be obviously linked with terrorists by those that want to talk it down. Cool logo, but I prefer Brothers also.

    What Does USARL Stand For?

So the US-AoRL is the RFL/ARLC type organisation, and the USA-RL is the SL/NRL type competition. Gotcha. It is very confusing, but I suppose the average punter doesn't need to know the difference between the governing body and the league competition.

    Wellington launch NRL bid!!

Just bite the bullet and go for a 20 team league. The NRL are looking more and more towards Europe for players now so I'm sure they could pad out the clubs well. Shorten the season down to 20 games. Leaves 4 weeks for a mid-season rep calendar. Even if it just involved Pacific Island nations...

    What Does USARL Stand For?

Well that's both helpful and confusing at the same time! Thanks :D

A case for a second Auckland team?

Why not merge two Sydney clubs to fit in a NZ team? There's a great case for including Perth, Brisbane II and NZ II. Much greater than Sydney IX.

    4nations Final | New Zealand v Australia | Wellington Stadium | Satuday 15th Nov

What is your thoughts on Steens wanting NRL referees and interpretations next time?

    Harsh or painfully true?

Conferences and P&R are the only way to expand the make up of NRL clubs. Otherwise you're going to stick with the status quo. I like the traditional teams, including the likes of Balmain, Western Suburbs, Norths, etc. I'm a big believer that there should be a route for every team to be able...

    What Does USARL Stand For?

Now I thought it was United States of America Rugby League (as they are often referred to as USA Rugby League), but recent press releases have called them the United States Association for Rugby League. Which is it? Are the press releases wrong or have I just been barking up the wrong tree?

    Can Australia still miss out?

Not really. Nobody's happy when Australia score any tries in any fashion.

Will they still be known as the Tomahawks?

    Can Australia still miss out?

It really doesn't! Well you can be proven wrong in two ways here if that's what you believe... 1) If Greg Inglis did ground the ball, the decision was incorrect as they didn't give a drop out, this denying a last chance at scoring. 2) Greg Inglis have didn't ground the ball. You can't apply...

Axemen in 100'000 homes AND our stadium move

In the UK we use Rhino Rugby balls as of this year (had been Steeden since 2004 and Gilbert before that). If there is no sponsorship in place for the ball, it doesn't matter which one you use at the end of the day.
