Who gives a f**k? They'll probably just have their own refs pull one out of the bag again if they look like losing, or promise all the Samoan players Origin selection if they throw the game or something.

f**k me you are one butt hurt whinger

Europe population and infrastructure wise is far better setup then the pacific. So that's just wrong. How's France or Wales coming along? Both should be better then they are. So Australia may of stuffed down here (Though PNG and Fiji would argue that) but they can't be blamed for the rest of the sport underperforming.

Not sure that is even true mate. Samoa has come close to beating both England and NZ this year and also have a good chance against Australia

When was the last time the #4 side ever came so close? The Pacific Islands have never been in this good a shape

I know that the Poms that hate Australia will say we killed it .... We know better. The thing with PNG and Fiji those players will never be eligible for Australia. Especially the halves will be benefit from playing together in the 2nd tier comps. So the next 10 years or so we should see another few teams up there.

Let's say England beat NZ and Australia beat Samoa in a close game, wouldn't Australia miss out after getting flogged in their first match? How much do Australia need to win by to guarantee their spot?
England wont beat NZ. The appointed match ref and the video ref for the game will make sure of that.

The evidence proves the correct call was made.
It really doesn't!

How can I be proven wrong when the worst case scenario is Greg Inglis grounds the ball and in turn the ball is dead,
Well you can be proven wrong in two ways here if that's what you believe...
1) If Greg Inglis did ground the ball, the decision was incorrect as they didn't give a drop out, this denying a last chance at scoring.
2) Greg Inglis have didn't ground the ball. You can't apply the rules of grounding a ball for a try to the rules of grounding a ball in-goal for a drop out. They are separate laws. Inglis had to make a deliberate attempt to ground the ball, of which he didn't (he was attempting to knock it dead).

So yeah, you've been proven wrong on both possible counts. You can drop that one now and move on to a new fallacy...

and whatever happens afterwards is irrelevant. Show all the frames you want with a finger touching the ball (and no downward pressure), before the ball gets that far Inglis has put more fingers and pressure onto the ball as he is trying to put it dead, and the force of him pushing it into the ground also bends his fingers back.

Either both grounded it, or neither did. Its as simple as that.
Only if the laws for grounding in-goal are the same for grounding for a try. They are not. So you are wrong.

It's good to know that the argument of "he definitely didn't ground it" is so secure that people have made up new criteria in back play to try and discount it!

And how do you work that out?

Poms really need to get over it. There was no downward pressure, and that means no try. Simple as that. If the tables were reversed and Australia had scored that try, people would have called it cheating to award whst was an obvious no try. He knocked.on, simple as that. A pick touching the edge of the ball is not downward pressure. If it was that end of the ball would have been going down into the ground, not continuing to lift up.

Barely scrape home against Samoa with some lucky calls. Lose to Australias B squad. The poms just arent good enough this year. Kiwis will win the tournament easily.

Is that the same Kiwis who scraped past Samoa even more than we did and on home soil too? Or are you just saying that because they handed Australia their arse on a plate in round one?

The new SOO laws & the refusal to pick anyone not playing Origin. Like the Hunters squad Fiji will be mainly locals who will improve regardless of heritage players or not.

So if any of the Hunters or the Fijian players end up at a NRL club you're telling me there's no chance they could play for Australia?

Look at Radradra. He came here at 18 went well but can't play SOO so therefore no Australia

Why can't he play for Australia? You need to check the eligibility rules. You're wrongly under the impression that SoO rules govern the international game.

No. ARL doesn't pick from outside of SOO eligible players. This is why ESL players aren't picked no matter how good they go

Why would they all of a sudden pick these types of players? It's never happened before.

Really Evil - we have enough idiots on this site without this type of garbage.

Does not say much about the site if you are a moderator.

Pull your head in and enjoy the games like we all have.

Which again is an incredibly insular mindset. So nobody from Victoria/SA/WA/etc will ever be picked if they are good enough? I don't buy it.
