    15,479

I rate the 15,479 at Olympic Park higher than nearly 55k at Telstra Dome. Origin was always going to get a crowd; the weather was atrocious for most of Friday in Melbourne and the average punter is not going to stand on muddy terraces when they could be at a ground with a roof and a seat...

Are the Storm the most liked team in the NRL?

Our crowds are up when the local AFL teams struggle, that is a fact of life. I guess that puts us in the same boat as the Swans. Our best-ever crowds were when Collingwood were cellar dwellars. Only a matter of time again...... I know a lot of people from Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula...

A Hookers' job first and foremost is to distribute the ball; to provide quality ball for the first receiver. It used to be to rake back in the scrums as well, but that is a joke nowadays. Most of you people wouldn't remember when Hookers were Hookers in League, not just dummy halves, I would...

Are the Storm the most liked team in the NRL?

Any club that smells of Ribot is fine by me. He knows how to build a winning team. Maybe you could get rid of Fitzgerald and get John Ribot to help your club to a premiership and a winning culture. I agree, the Reds should have been kept but they were sacrificed to make way for the NRL. Heaven...

Are the Storm the most liked team in the NRL?

Do you still have trouble sleeping at night re 1999?? That would have been a try regardless, you toss. And Craig Smith would've kicked it from the touchline, he didn't miss one from the sidelines during the finals. Ainscough just gave us an easier kick for the leading points scorer for the 1999...

    Pubs that show NRL

Don't know about St Kilda mate but the Plough Hotel on cnr Geelong Rd and Barkly St Footscray has Fox Sports on big screen every weekend as does the Miller's Inn on Miller's Rd Altona. A few pubs on Swan St Richmond will have the games on as well.

Slater playing for Norths this week

Billy is not named in the North Sydney team lists, Brisbane Norths are not playing this weekend and the #18 jersey is missing in the Melbourne team list. I reckon he'll play.

Slater playing for Norths this week

You miss my point Lockyno1. It is a known fact that Slater plays his best football in Melbourne or at Lang Park. Qld would get good value out of him by naming him in the 3/4's in front of his adoring home town fans. He plays on confidence, a couple of good early touches and the crowd will lift...

Slater playing for Norths this week

We have depth this year that I have never seen before at this club. Slater is better suited (defensively) at centre, where he has a bloke on either side of him to clean up his missed tackles.

Do you guys drink somewhere b4/after the game?

Yeah, Depot is good beforehand and easy to find the ground from there.

Slater playing for Norths this week

Mony, the Bears are playing Manly at Brookvale before Manly v Brisbane. There is going to be a Qld selector attending that match so Billy will be on show. Good idea to play a couple of games in the reggies (Storm has bye next week) to run into some match fitness before Origin III. I reckon...

Matt Geyer The 200 + dude

Boofa played his junior football at 5/8 and don't forget he was there for the whole '99 finals series. He threw the pass for Tony Martin that gave us our first try in the GF. I agree Mike. Geyer to play a year or two in the halves until GI Joe or James Aubusson come along in their development.

Mony, Brian Waldron showed me the plans for the new stadium. It is a mini Lang Park. The boys are almost as excited about it as I am as are the Melbourne Demons (AFL) who will train there. Cameron Bruce from the Demons is a mate of mine.

One game a player is not rated on otherwise Changa "white boots" Langlands would not be an immortal.

    Hill is Gornskiiiiiis

No Mony it is not directed at you personally. It is directed at any "supporter" who boos their team at half time; who hurls abuse at their own players and who can not take the good times with the bad. You people know who you are. You don't need fingers pointed in your direction. I have seen...

    Hill is Gornskiiiiiis

The simple fact of the matter is that we were not good enough to beat the Cowboys last year. Pyschologically they had our measure.

    Hill is Gornskiiiiiis

Anybody that bags their own team or players after a loss is not a supporter. Maybe you should follow Cronulla or Geelong in the AFL, that's more your go. I have seen Melbourne play as much as anyone. I have been a member since 1998; only missed 9 home games in that time and travelled interstate...

    Signing News

Hilly going would mean that Boofa could get a year or two in the halves until Joe gets more experience. I know that's were Bellamy ultimately wants him. Hopefully it frees up some cash for Stevie Turner and/or Jake Webster. If I was forced to choose between the two, I would prefer Turner...
