    Exactly, I expect him to finish up his contract until end of 2013 and in that time Manly can use the cap increase as well as whichever senior players move on to offer rex a bigger contract.

    Yeh true about DCE but from what we have seen the champ would have taken it in his stride.....the waiting thing is so painful re contract negotiations!! Either way as stated we support our club and whoever decides to stick with us, we won comps with & without these players so its never the end...

    I love the guy same with T-rex but any player that has signed elsewhere needs to be dropped & their replacement given a chance in first grade. If Des had done this in 2010 with Hodkinson, DCE would have at least made a difference to our season & have been firing earlier last year. Give Riccardi...

    And then the Eels went straight back to what they do best...LOSE. Two teams that never do Manly any favours, Eels & Dragons, both lift & play very well against Manly and then when you want them to beat others they dont. Something i have learned to live with, take last yr for example, Eels...

    Yeh but his ball skills and defense are still top notch...look at Manlys tries in the last 2 games, pretty sure he had a hand in them all and scored one. He still has good pace and personally i think he fits in really well in the Manly backline.

    Hayne should never be dropped from NSW but for me Bellamy benching B.Stewart for Gidley in game 3 (decider) in 2008 was the dumbest move ever. Nothing too critical of Gidley but simply if your going to bench Brett, dont pick him as he doesnt play anywhere else. He just wasted the best fullback...

    Has he said that though? very Boydesque of him if true & def agree. As Choc has come out & said the players play for each other & would most likely base their choices on who they want to play with (players) obviously contract negotiations play a big role too

    Nah have to disagree Paddy, when Manly took Cleal they did not also take their head & assistance coaches as well as attempt to take Jarod Hayne & whoever else. This is not just a coach being taken this is a raid there is a big difference & that was my point.
