    Foxtel slams TV rip-off claim

The NRL should split the NRL coverage into two groups of 4 games per round, allow anyone to bid but cap fox to one group of 4 games... 8 games split between... - Nine & Fox - Seven & Fox - Seven & Nine Or all games on FTA... - Nine & Seven - All on Nine - All on Seven Adding Seven to the mix...

Kill the inter-change & then expand the NRL

11 a side is probably long overdue.

Pointed discussions to kick game along as a spectacle

Don Furner's suggestion could make for some controversial decisions... was that a "bobble"? Did he have control? Jesus... Rather than alter point scoring, or punishing "bobbles" if they really want to change the rules, perhaps look at changing wider areas to bring a similar effect but make it...

Kill the inter-change & then expand the NRL

They're all good points. Though, I really like the idea of almost eliminating the interchange, and possibly relax the 10m (often teams are held back 11-12m as it is), thus promoting more creative football.

Kill the inter-change & then expand the NRL

I think it's a great idea! Moving to a relaxed 10m would also make the game a little more expansive, set moves etc, rather than boring one up and dummy half runs. Watching the forwards tire and the backs start to run rampant is something we don't see anymore. It's so simple it's brilliant!

NRL will not buy into AFL money war in Blacktown

You're absolutely right! The easiest thing our administrators could do is just talk - just tell the thruth! Say how much better we are! Instead they're silent. Makes you wonder if they even care at all. The NRL should employ someone to see what competitors are doing / saying and always...

    Still Simply the Best

And I think it's fair to say it's the one thing the AFL haven't done yet, come up with a winning campaign to push their game. They've done everything else right. We had had the magic formula ffs, and we threw it (and all the other important pieces) away!!!

    Still Simply the Best

Think of the effects of these promos. What does the viewer get from it, what message? "Rugby League is simply the best" A pretty powerful message that seems lost on our current administrators. If we pumped that all the time in VIC and particularly SA and WA (and teams there) along with plenty...

NRL will not buy into AFL money war in Blacktown

Ok here's a start... - More Sunday afternoon games encouraging families to attend - A CEO who will always say things like "the greatest game of all", "we're the premier winter code", "our television ratings show we're number 1", forever promoting the strength of the NRL and never promote AFL -...

Academic Article on Salary Caps - Explains NRL's Current Problems

I think it should be lifted. The aim of it shouldn't be to protect the weakest, if anything it should be a bit beyond the ability for the bottom clubs but restrictive enough to stop the top club(s) from buying everyone under the sun.

They said they were going to then late last year they dumped the idea. I like Matty Johns suggestion of bringing it back with Beyonce doing it.

    bring back arko and quale

Huge opportunity gone. By 1980 when we we admitted, the Leagues Club had moved in another direction with the Steelers just one of many looking for $$$. I think it was the club admin's "home" until the Steelers Club was built. But to add to the stupidity of the duplicated Illawarra Leagues...

    bring back arko and quale

The Illawarra Leagues Club, which proudly boasts itself as the "2nd oldest leagues club in the world" (sounds so funny) behind NSW Leagues. http://www.illawarraleaguesclub.com.au/ Steelers only opened in 1990.

    bring back arko and quale

The Crushers didn't stand a chance! We've lost expansion clubs AND foundation clubs AND alot of passion for football... and even if you think we're about even now with 1994... that's 14 years ago. Imagine where we could have been by now!
