    Surprised Alan Border Field in Albion hasn't been suggested, seems like lots of space... Plus that entire area behind breakfast creek hotel and up the breakfast creek desperately needs to be gentrified and fixed up.

    Saw Gladiator 2 last night on a whim. Definitely not as good as the first one but still very watchable and entertaining. Lots of tributes to Maximus... Paul Mescal does a good job as the young Gladiator. Denzel plays an interesting part....

    yeah its hard to pinpoint the central business area for some of them. Beenleigh started as an old sugar cane town in the 1800s way before Logan was a place. Redcliffe and Caboolture in Moreton Bay started as old towns too.

    They're all part of greater brisbane though... just different LGA's. I've had this argument with GROTD before... Logan and Moreton Bay are just basically a random collection of suburbs, there is no city to them. Ipswich at least started as a separate city to Brisbane.

    Pippen doesn't have a clue about QLD. He thinks Rugby league wasn't even played in northern brisbane until the Dolphins came along.

    true but the NRL has to come to the party too. Why would the WA govt want to invest in a team that might fail down the line and that the NRL might just abandon. NRL clubs don't have a great track record of being financially viable and the NRL isn't as generous as the AFL is to its clubs....

    Rugby would never be the preferred winter code no matter who is in charge. It doesn't have a meaningful domestic comp, simple as that.

    I was into wrestling during the 90s. I remember when everyone ditched WWF and started watching WCW/NWO for a while there. Enjoyed the doc.
