    Or he was playing volleyball and someone told him he should try his hand at footy. These trials don't mean much, we have around 30 external kids "trying out" for the SG Ball squad tomorrow. Some would have already been selected but we may want to see how they fair in a simulated game day.

    LeBron Tuala was still in u/19's last year and look how he's turned out. There's much more to being a footballer than just being big. Give me a Saxon Pryke or Charlie Guymer who are big enough but absolute terriers in attitude.

    Yeah. I haven't taken note of him before but his defensive output is pretty good, his attacking numbers are poor. But we wouldn't be bringing him in for his attack, his defensive work is what would allow our better attacking forwards to do less work defensively. My concern with the signing is...

    Yep. From Harold Matthews onwards every club would have footage of every player that plays those games and would be able to break down their game. It's the intangible stuff that you don't get from just watching on-field where good scouting comes into it.

    Suffered a concussion in round 2, supposedly got injured in the cowboys game. In his final 6 games of the season before succumbing to the injury he averaged 145m and 4 tackle breaks. This was done whilst he was pushing through a significant knee injury.

    We're all too familiar with him not knowing what to do on tackles 4 and 5 when going for a field goal. Watching this game, I think at our best we would've been able to beat both teams. Hope next year we have our defence fixed up and we're able to keep our players on the field for 24+ games

    I was just having a bit of fun. Contracted for 2025 would go with what the original rumour was posing. It would be massive if the club could pick the young fella back up, was very good in Matts this year despite being a year young.

    Per NZRLgrassroots on instagram, it appears we've let go/lost Ezra Leota as he's listed as a Parramatta Eel/Canberra Raider in their team lists. Very odd situation, believe we brought him down from Logan brothers this year in the Harold Matthews team.
