1. Patrician Blacktown really have a record of flopping. They must have been huge favorites.
2. As I've said there is way more passion around high school football than SG ball and Harold Matthews (they cut to the crowd at the end and there were these huge group of young kids probably year 7s going ballistic). It is a real potential vehicle for growing the game.
3. So many things could be done to grow HSF.

Blame Terry Hill for killing the draft, and possibly HS footy with it. Sadness.

How good would it be to have a national schools comp on TV and in-season. The best players enter a draft to become NRL eligible (and the Tigers get the first pick most years I assume )

Lets hope he's not too good then. Just good enough to be a backup would be ideal by the sounds of it. Hopefully he hangs around long enough to see what Dyl does with his option.
I'd hate to cheer for Iongi to fail so we can see what Api has to offer in firsts.

He performed much better than Lynn in Flegg, surprised he didn't get a crack at some point in the year. Maybe they played it safe with Lynn as he got cup time the year before?

Or running against Flegg defences doesn't translate well to NSW Cup form. Lynn's running game doesn't seem to be a strength. He is more of a kick/tackle half, which makes him better suited as an NRL backup. Like Jake Arthur.

Api hopefully trains in all of the back positions in the off-season plays 6 in cup and probably will have to come into the NRL as a utility
