    Preseason game against Warriors

No, I reckon you're entitled to be dirty with both of them. Our centres are still dire this year, so if Naden consistently lifts and locks down a centre spot, it will go away a long towards redeeming him in my eyes. It doesn't look like Kepaoa will get that same opportunity now that Talau has...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Not only was Crichton close, but the club have gotten both Klemmer and Frizell for Brooks. It would have been great to see how far into the eight Madge would have taken us with the team he assembled. Even without Critchon or Frizell, it’s still the strongest the pack has been in ages and with...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Spot on. We’ve always let players go early to Parrra, but they have never reciprocated. We had to wait for Twal despite letting the tanker go early and we had to wait an entire season despite letting Ratterson go early. Even in the unlikely event we signed Moses, he wouldn’t be coming this...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Of course you don’t give a shit, Tim. You’ll be gone halfway through Bateman’s contract so when he is under performing and being a disruptive influence on the playing group and in social media, it won’t be your problem. Also, if we’re covered for backrow, why bother signing him in the first place?

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Forward pack is looking really good and there's decent depth to it as well. Everyone pretty much selects themselves and I don't think we lose anything by waiting for Bateman. Backline is the complete opposite. Ken is the only player that selects himself. There should be plenty of competition...

    2023 Predictions

Where will the Tigers finish: 12th Player of the year: Luke Brooks Top Try Scorer: David Nofoaluma Best signing: Api Koroisau Rookie of the year: Fonua Pole Breakout Player: Charlie Staines Who debuts: Tristan Reilly Dissapointment of the year: John Bateman Will Brooks be at the club in 2024...

Random Tigers articles from the media

Well said TSP. This journo is an idiot. The philosophy of 2005 was to give control of the team to a dominant halfback to do as he saw fit. Instead, the club packed Hastings bags and we're going back to playing left and right halves this season.

    Season 2023

Looks reasonable based on what we've heard preseason. A lot of questions will be answered by the way the lads perform in the backline over the course of the season, particularly settling the spine and working out what's happening with the centres. It will be interesting to see how Kepaoa...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Getting Api three years ago would have been exquisite, but it's not like we were the only club who didn't even look at him. In fact the club didn't even look at anyone at the time because they were hyperfixated on Harry Grant.

    Season 2023

Don’t agree. He doesn’t have the pace needed or the footy IQ to defend there. The sooner he moves to the second row the better.

    Season 2023

Four forwards on the bench. I like it. Shades of 2014.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Glad to hear it's not just me. It's always a mystery whether I'll have the option of using emojis during my visit. Would have been nice, but this Plan C of having Sheens take over until Benji is ready is the only option left now that any good coaches will refuse to come here after the Madge...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Proof that the salary cap is working. You blokes should be fine with the amount of talent you keep unearthing, as long as you keep following the Storm and keep quality players in key positions as the basis of your team. We were starting to look like we were following that pattern in 2013, but...

    COE

This is literally the only thing I want to know about the COE and there has been no answer

    Season 2023

Implying that the club was the one who sent these guys packing. You could argue that Liddle and Peachey are part of a clean out, but the rest of those players had either already signed elsewhere or left of their own accord.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

If you listen to most of the people here Newcastle will pick him up at reduced price to play 5/8 outside of Hastings and then once the albatross that is Brooks is removed from around the club’s neck, Sheens will deliver us a second premiership with Doueihi and Laurie as the halves.

    WT’s Pathways

Taylor is pretty much the reason all those blokes left. JAC came from the Sharks and despite MCK and JAC forming a great edge in NSW Cup, Taylor persisted with blokes like Naiqama and Rankin, who were pretty poor. Tedesco was always going to leave once Potter was sacked. He was already out the...

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

We could get a very decent centre for $600k to replace Doueihi and just shift our fullback into the halves.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Never. Potter had assembled a great pack for Brooks's first year, but injuries killed us across the park. Then the board detonated the club by sacking Potter and installing Jason Taylor, which we have never recovered from.

    Season 2023

If you didn't want the wooden spoon for the first time in club history, then you shouldn't have sacked Madge mid season you muppet.
