    NRL intervention?

The last time a CEO went against Sheens, the board sacked him.

Match Discussion: Round 3 vs Canterbury @ Belmore Sports Ground, Belmore

All this talk of Wakeham, Brooks and Doueihi and I’m much more interested in seeing how Kade Hill goes in NSW Cup

    NSW Cup ‘23

When it comes to picking the eyes out of our club, the bloke who supposedly wouldn't pick up the phone is off to a good start.
  5. Fordy20

    Pathetic.

They won four games last season, three before Madge was turfed, so this side would need to get more than three wins before facing the Titans again to be considered an improvement on last year. The way they are going at the moment, I can't see it happening.

    Season 2023

Nothing. He’s just collecting a pay cheque like all the rest of the muppets out here masquerading as a professional football club.

Match Discussion: Round 2 vs Newcastle @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield

It doesn’t seem like the 200 passes helped. 67% completion rate is pretty poor

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Just another reason to have the shits with board sacking Madge. Not only did that guarantee we missed out on Frizell and Crichton, but it also meant we had to punt Hastings, a much better organiser than either Brooks or Doueihi, just so we could accommodate Bateman.

Match Discussion: Round 2 vs Newcastle @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when Sheens brought the wife basher in for the Cronulla game after Gallant had his leg broken in win over the Roosters. That's when I kissed goodbye to 2009. That's what I never understood. Why bother trying to manufacture a fullback out of a junior Kangaroos...

Match Discussion: Round 1 vs Gold Coast @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield

Probably picked that trick up from the last time him and Moses played together. TBF though, there were a couple of sets where Nofo really got us rolling up the park with his cross field runs that people hate so much.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Eels are right to dig their heels in at four years. Moses would be 33 at the start of a fifth year. No player is at their peak at 33 so it’s not realistic to expect top dollar at that point.

Match Discussion: Round 2 vs Newcastle @ Leichhardt Oval, Lilyfield

Funnily enough, Moltzen was good enough even without Tedesco. In 2009, the club went undefeated with Moltzen at halfback as part of a spine with Benji, Farah and Shannon Gallant. Most people remember that year for Hayne's run of form, but we only missed out on taking their spot in the Top 8 due...

Talau played most of the game injured and came off late

Hard to say what the motivations are with the sponsorship arrangements. Is it an endorsement of podcasters views or are they just supporting fan endeavours? The podcasters mentioned on air that their listeners were tired of the podcast endlessly criticising the CEO and maybe it is time to place...

Random Tigers articles from the media

Yep. The Wests Ashfield Leagues club is the main club of the Wests Ashfield Leagues club Group. The group also owns Croydon Sports club, Markets Club at Homebush and will most likely end up running the Balmain Leagues Club once the site is redeveloped. At the end of last year, the group...

Random Tigers articles from the media

Wests Ashfield Leagues Club sponsors a pod cast dedicated to getting rid of Pascoe, but that hasn’t worked. I can’t see why a suggestion box would succeed where that has failed.

Random Tigers articles from the media

Yep. That's honestly what Cavanagh expects people to believe. That Pascoe just randomly approaches Cavanagh out of the blue at a public Wests Tigers event and asks him who should be running club. No context, no other discussion. Right in front some sponsors. Then Cavanagh gives his thoughtful...

Random Tigers articles from the media

Oh please. How much courage does it take to have a skinful of piss and give someone a hard time at a public event? What precisely has Cavanagh done with his last two years on the Magpies FC board? I bet none of you even heard of this nobody until this morning.

Bloody hell, if this clown can be the chairman of the Western Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club and be in the mix for the Wests Tigers board, literally any one us could be. All it requires is to be a member for 3 years and to simply show up and nominate.
