    I haven't seen any of our games this season yet, so I have a genuine question for those that have: any indication that losing our two assistants has made much of a difference in the coaching side of things? Or is it just the direct loss of Korisau and Kikau combined with key players down on form?

    This season was weird in term of how strong it was. For mine, the Sharks and the Cowboys were two of the weakest top 4 teams there has been in a long time (maybe since us in 2010)

    I don't see why they shouldn't - the last three finals games against them have had margins of victory of 4, 6, and 2 points. I don't see next week being any different.

    I think of the teams left in the comp, this is the order that I fear them in a one-off sudden-death game: 1. Roosters, 2. Eels, 3. Rabbits, 4. Storm, 5. Sharks, 6. Raiders, 7. Cowboys

    Let's hope we emulate the Rams in the NFL last season - lose to the 49ers twice in the regular season, beat them in the playoffs and then go on to win the whole thing. Touch wood.

    It would be a joke to suspend May now when (a) the NRL already cleared him to play with full knowledge of the case and the video and (b) there is no attached conviction.

    I still would have rested all those players for the Warriors game and played the full team against NQ to gel and hopefully put them in 4th, so we get to play them again. Would have been the easiest route to the prelim. We will lose this and have to play Eels or the Storm now, both significantly...

    I think if anyone can finally win from 5-8 since the new system was introduced, the Roosters this season can. Unfortunately.

    We can be rattled for short periods, but mostly we seem to find a way to grind back into it (unless our halfback decides to dump someone on their head for no reason). However, in the finals all it takes is one of Storm, Roosters, Souths, and even the Eels (they know how to beat us) to go crazy...

    I thought so too about the Broncos, but the last few weeks have given me pause - I'm not sure Walters is the guy to get them there.

    Reminds me of Liverpool last season. Gets to 3 cup finals and cannot score a goal in any of them! We are not a good attacking team. We are the best defensive team and we just strangle other teams to death. I'm fine with it, as long as it works.
