    Yeah we had literally no half’s signed except for an 18 year old kid who hadn’t even played a game against adults yet. The deal was understandable at the time, it is just that we got lucky and landed Luai and then both Galvin and Latu leap frogged him in the first year

    I reckon they have said to him that they will have a spot for him, but they wont actually sign him for a while. We will need to leave that last spot open incase we land any of our free agent targets like May or Hetherington before we actually move on any others.

    probably better swapping the Eng and France games around. Aus start pretty rusty and gives a greater chance of a decider. Then having the Aussies on a 2 week bender might prevent score blow outs in France

    depends on fitness. If you could guarantee Bird will play 24 games I am confident he would be at worse a serviceable lock. Problem is I think we will be lucky to get 12 games out of him and every injury just means disruption to the whole forward pack and general link play if we are going to run...

    Interesting the top 7 AFL brands are all Melbourne clubs whereas our top club, 2 of our top 5 and 5 out of the top 10 are out of Sydney.

    Harry gave everything he had as a rookie while he was here and the fans could see that and showed him the appreciation. we know when players are giving their all or just along for the ride, coasting on their talent and we have had far too many of the latter.

    my theory is AFL finals are the biggest events in their calendar. People who only watch 1-3 games a year watch the GF. For league that is Origin, so the casual fan that might only watch 1-3 games a year watch Origin and then dont bother with our finals. But that is just a guess, who knows.
