    Was he though? Lucas to centre, Gagai to fullback makes so much more sense than picking sharpe as cover for Ponga.

    It’s alarming how many times the ball ends up in the hands of someone like Jones when Ponga is out the back waiting for it. Can’t blame Hastings for not kicking for touch though- all that does is give the Canberra forwards time to amble back and a play-the-ball from the center of the field.

    Elliott, Cogger and Mapapalangi out of the squad for tomorrow. Cant and Hetherington still on extended bench and Croker into starting side for Elliott. Excited to see how Croker goes at lock- always thought he had more to offer than his limited minutes allowed him to show.

    Sharpe is a strange inclusion on the bench. I'd say he isn't cover for Ponga- AOB wouldn't risk him if he wasn't 100% and Gagai has shown on numerous occasions that he is an adequate backup if required midgame.
