    These players won’t be too difficult to offload, it’s just a matter of how much the club wants to chip in to get them out the door. If they do choose to languish in reserves, they may be collecting a paycheck, but that will definitely stuff up the next contract that they sign when their time...

    Melbourne holding down the player with about 5 seconds left in the first half to try and deny Brisbane one last attacking play- get a set restart. Crossland does the exact same thing, gets 10 minutes in the bin.

    Losing Jones and Croker is about balancing out the squad, not saving salary cap. And 0% chance of DSaf being here in 2025- his form has been good the back half of this year and there will absolutely be a club after a prop of his quality. It’s just a matter of how much the club need to chip in...

    Is he with Moses? Roosters previously signed him, and I thought uncle nick didn’t deal with any of Moses’ stable. And I wonder what the reason was behind the Dolphins not signing him last year when O’Sullivan was at the club.

    I expect this game to mirror Round 8 against them- we’ll play well for the majority of the match and be in control, only for the Dolphins to finally decide to throw the ball around and score back-to-back tries with 5 minutes to go and provide a nail biting finish. Hopefully we can hold on again.

    Sounds like the commentary during the game criticising Fafita for having a high workload but little impact and not busting tackles left, right and centre. Only 12 months ago he was criticised for hiding out in the centres and not injecting himself in the game enough.

    Personally, when I want to know a player’s worth I compare them to a player who signed their last contract after a grand total of 4 NRL games and who plays a totally different position.

    Who’s our lock going forward? Another positional change for Phoenix, bring someone in or promote from lower grades? Would have been handy to keep a young prospect like Myles Martin.
