    Round 10 team

Don't tell me Hook has finally come up with an idea that literally everyone in rugby league, including rep coaches, most fans, several ball boys and even Dean Young, had before him.

    Round 10 team

Come on, it's not like we've got the Australian hooker playing for us...

    Sack Griffin

Move Hunt to 9, send whoever the "attacking coach" is on a long holiday and let Sloan, Amone and Sullivan play 1, 6 and 7 for the rest of the season and throw the ball around however they see fit. I'd rather us lose 50-30 and have some fun. This place is depressing.

Good analysis. Reminds me of the way we used to play from 2009-11.

    Jack Bird

I actually like Bird. He has a mistake in him and he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he definitely rips in and has a go. He wasn't backward in taking on JWH last week and he has some skills our other forwards don't possess. Each to their own I suppose.

Round 8 Vs Roosters ANZAC DAY GAME

You can't blame Lomax alone for the loss but his goal kicking is definitely down on previous years. He usually sits at about a 78% success rate but this year it's 60%.

Next 3 rounds easts / bulldogs / tigers and new coach ?

You'll be more relaxed if you accept that's not happening.

    Coaching preference for 2024

    100%. They're a terrible version of the Cleary's.

    Josh Kerr departs

Will be very interesting to see what Bennett gets out of him.

    Woods swap for Tuitavake

Lawrie at 26 and Kerr at 27 finally seems to be hitting their straps, perhaps like a lot of props we just needed to be patient with them. Lawrie in particular looks to have really settled in to a leadership role, maybe some of that early work with James Graham rubbed off on him.

    2023 R5 Fri - Canberra 12-53 Penrith @ GIO

Looked like Horsburgh got the pin to me.

Why don't we ever "raid" Union?

Not sure what it's like elsewhere, but the best rugby players in Australia have always played league, not union.

    Coaching preference for 2024

I'd like a coach closer to 40 than 60, who has some sort of rapport with 20 something man-children, experience in a successful system, no connection to the Dragons, with their own thoughts, ideas and staff, knows that Craig Young and the like are leeches sucking the club dry and is strong enough...

    Coaching preference for 2024

Hmm, but would that be the Dolphins set up we're mimicking or the Tigers?

    Time to restructure the JV

As part of this return to being the "St George Dragons" will we also be playing games at the SCG at 3pm on a Saturday? In 1963 we only played 5 games at Kogarah all year. In '64 it was 4 games. The '64 games were against Wests, Easts, Newtown and Canterbury. I guess we could still play Canterbury.

    Dragons V Sharks Round 4

Just preaching to the converted big fella.

Maybe we could get Hook to head up a panel to appoint a new coach. "After careful consideration of several worthy candidates I've decided to re-appoint myself."

    New recruits for 2023

Let's hope so. We'll find out this week against Reynolds. Just needs to get the first one to get some confidence.
