    Not sure it's been mentioned but the real NRL (Newcastle Rugby League) does have a points system they use to rate players http://www.newcastlerugbyleague.com.au/club-points.html It's fairly basic but if they can do it I'm sure the geniuses at the NRL could work something out.

    That's really the only acceptable outcome. Letting the club be held to ransom by an aging halfback who won't do what's best for the team and a coach who's out of touch with the modern game are a sure fire path to a wooden spoon.

    Ross Conlon. 150+ games and played for NSW and Australia, based mainly on his penchant for place kicking the ball in all situations.

    Yeah, I don't get the Lomax to lock thing either - when you look at the best locks in the game at the moment (Murray, Yeo, Jake Turbo) Lomax doesn't play like any of them.

    It's a very good point. I think Dylan Brown is a good comparison, he's really only found consistency and started to play to his potential this year, but he's 2 years older, with 4 years and 75 games in the NRL now. There's plenty of time for Amone to find his feet and become a top class NRL player.
