The Game 2022 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos etc

Jesus that Dragons away is pretty bad. Wouldn't have bothered with the V.

    West Coast Pirates Bid News

Black and White stripes for the Pirates. Jolly Roger. Basically just the Barbarians jersey with a pirate skull in place of the insignia.

    West Coast Eagles?

Dockers fans aren't going to stop supporting the Dockers because West Coast buys a Rugby League team. It wouldn't impact the Force at all, the Force are on very good terms with the Eagles. Nick Natinui is literally a Force lifetime member. But I'll kill this dead in a simple way; both the...

    West Coast Pirates Bid News

You're right, I got Ollie and Luke confused with Connor and Jack who are at Joondalup Brothers. But that just adds to my point, all four boys played for either Brothers or the Giants, there is no aggressive anti one another rivalry in Perth. I played for both Associates and South Perth in the...

The Game 2022 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos etc

Whoever designed Kia's new logo was pretty doped up.

Panthers and Dogs both have sponsors who don't detract from the jersey. Dog's especially have a pretty great track record outside of the red Kia logo a few years back.

    18th club, whose next?

It's part of a strategy though. They're already through the schools, you can call up AFL Queensland as a school and they'll supply you goal posts and equipment if you agree to enter the AFLQ Schools Cup. They know that if you are pushing your brand from early childhood through to primary and...

    West Coast Pirates Bid News

"rugby" which was in response to me saying that the individual local clubs are friends with each other like Rockingham RL and Rockingham RU. Or Mandurah Storm and Mandurah Pirates. You could have been more clear. This is no different than East Freo FC giving out developmental contracts and...

    18th club, whose next?

Oh it's a weird bloody thing to watch absolutely, but a lot of them are freakishly good athletes.

    18th club, whose next?

A ton of them are basketball prospects. Nic Natinui would have played rugby union if there had been a WA pathway when he was in school. It's no good running them down, when two of league's biggest stars in Folau and Hunt crossed into the sport and failed dramatically. Obviously the Gaelic...

Makes it look like the team is called the Kings.

At best you're describing an academy contract, that's completely different to your initial post which seemed to imply local clubs were paying money in direct non-compliance with the charter. . All academies for any sport have that requirement. I was in a swimming academy as a teenager and was...

    18th club, whose next?

Michael Jordan maybe, but Messi and Ronaldo no. They're famous players, soccer was already a worldwide sport before them and hasn't demonstrated any massive growth in the wake of them. Basketball is actually more popular since the rise of 2K games and the crossover basketball and hip hop...

    18th club, whose next?

I see it very differently, expanding your identity in the community is a good thing. You want people to think of your brand.

    18th club, whose next?

Lol at Bears fans holding a march in April. Nobody cares, Bears. News today out the Gold Coast that the Suns are building an early childhood centre to cater to 200 kids at any time, next to Metricon. These are the moves the AFL makes to move into RL territory, suddenly the Suns brand becomes...

The Game 2022 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos etc

Sponsors really should be matching the colours of the jerseys. It was odd that Canterbury had to have the Kia logo in red, but the Broncos were allowed to make it white so that it blended with the jersey.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Souffs are staying at ANZ for 2022 but apparently are open to moving to the SFS in 2023. I'd recommend it, solely because the new SFS should be NSW's best stadium.

Who goes on holiday to Port Moresby? AIDS? Cairns fans already support the Cowboys en masse.

    18th club, whose next?

Plenty, Eagles have Lendi and Hungry Jacks as majors plus BHP, Audi Perth, AGL, CUB, Telstra, Edith Cowan University, 7West, Virgin Air. Freo have Woodside Petroleum and Programmed as majors, BeyondBank, McDonald's, Toyota Perth, RAC and a bunch more. Force have FMG, Harvey Beef, Santos...

    TWO new Brisbane teams

I missed most of the Swans argument, but Great Dane is correct. They had home crowd averages in the mid 20k to low 30ks from 1996 onwards. In fact they had 22k members in 1997 and 25k in 2005 when they won their comp. Swans didn't become a membership powerhouse until 2014 which was the first...
