Rule changes you'd like to see for next season

    - Golden point. [A draw IS a result] - One ref & teach the linesman how to actually do their job. - Seriously, half the time they can't even judge when a players foot touches or goes over the sideline. - The stripping rule. - What a joke it is, especially when two go into the tackle then one...

News Sam Burgess court cases, breach notices

Thank you but I meant what action did the NRL take against the players involved? I can't remember hearing any players being suspended [according to the links you provided 'several' were involved]

News Sam Burgess court cases, breach notices

I appreciate the links [did I mention that I live in a cave out in the middle of nowhere?] but I'm still none the wiser. I've learnt that according to Sammys brother it was all a "mistake". That Sam is keen to tell the full story once the investigation has concluded. That several players...

    Sam Burgess retires

Clueless or is it that he simply doesn't give a rats arse what league supporters want/think?

News Sam Burgess court cases, breach notices

Hadn't heard that [I don't read womens gossip magazines] Real classy if true. Whether his wife is a gold digger or not I couldn't say. Just looking at awards nights where players turn up with hot looking wives, one can't help but wonder if they'd have had any chance at all if they were a...

News Sam Burgess court cases, breach notices

Agree. Far too many blokes who've gone through the Family Court to stand up for the right for custody or fair access to their kids have had bullshit accusations from the mothers & bullshit AVO's against them. If Burgess had threatened violence towards the f-i-l then that's what he would have...

[Match Thread] Australia v New Zealand - 25 October 2019

It was 32* yesterday in Sydneys west. [What I was thinking when I wrote the comment - and the players were sweating buckets] You're right that Wollongong wasn't too bad at 26* max & it would've cooled some by kick-off. A search showed that the Gong had some heavy rain y'day which would have...

Why has the club stopped communicating with its fan base???

It pains me to agree that he must have some talent as a coach - as I said, he seems to have no problem gaining assistant coach positions, so many clubs must rate him. So imagine what could have been if he wasn't such a "c**k head". "Mybe f**k up"? Oh thanks a lot; I'd almost scrubbed that...

[Match Thread] Australia v New Zealand - 25 October 2019

Normally I'd agree. These one off tests don't mean much. But, it's way too hot to be playing League. Very poor scheduling.

[Match Thread] Australia v New Zealand - 25 October 2019

Wollongong is traditionally a battlers area. Tickets for GA cost $60 [couldn't find the price of a kids ticket] They could have offered special family rates or kids accompanied by an adult free. Holding games in country areas/outside of Sydney are never going to be hugely profitable so they...

Why has the club stopped communicating with its fan base???

True but had Farah been in the team, we would have played finals footy. What sort of knob would send a player of Robbies ability back to reserves simply because he didn't fit his game plan? Junior players especially looked up to Farah. One can only imagine the instability it caused within the...

[Match Thread] Australia v New Zealand - 25 October 2019

What a ridiculous time of year to be playing rugby league. Great to see Benji back in the Kiwi test team. The match against the Poms should be interesting. Although I knew that Cook was quick off the mark, I had no idea that he could sprint so fast. We won, yay, but playing in the heat so...

Why has the club stopped communicating with its fan base???

Taylor comes across as a whining, sneering bitch who throws hissy fits when he doesn't get his own way. Was stood down by coach Ryan for 'ongoing conflict'; apparently Taylor felt the need to tell the coach how to do his job. He led a player revolt at the Bears IIRC, [for some reason not...

Ryan Matterson possibly on the way out?

Agree. Not only is there a lack of loyalty from a lot of players but it's regrettable that there's little loyalty between clubs. Those who will do it with you will do it to you & all that. There needs to be a punishment that fits the crime of approaching other teams players who are on contract...

    2019 Bathurst 1000

So you actually "prefer" bullshit over the truth then?

    2019 Bathurst 1000

Exactly. Now every team knows that in the future they can benefit their leading car by using their second car ,that has no chance of a podium finish, to give them a huge advantage & only get a slap on the wrist. Any team would be happy to pay a monetary penalty for a big win. What a joke. Oh...

Hold the women’s competition in summer

Do a duckduckgo for game stats for the womens comp & see how you go. All I was saying was that Ruan had more than one thing in common with Artie. Or would it have been better if I had said that she's unable to play 30 minutes each half because she's really fat? You must be a really good judge...

    Sam Burgess retires

Absolutely agree. Clubs pay for a players services. Every player knows the possible risks. Any payout for injury should be paid through insurance. League players have access to the best medical advice in the country. There is no doubt that they would be advised of any risk of long term damage...

Ryan Matterson possibly on the way out?

How the Eels perform next year will be very interesting. On paper they have a good squad but that could be said for many recent years when they've failed to perform to their ability. It has to be an attitude thing. [Losing Hayne would have helped in that regard but they've still got Poses, lol]
