    Can Toulouse survive?

Well, I did, because it's expanding away from a dwindling market where teams are overconcentrated, diluting the fanbase. You'll also see that I said a renewed Super 8's model would be the most feasible. Still have P/R between Championship & League 1 (gap isn't that dramatic), but the 8's system...

Match Discussion: Round 24 vs St Geo Illa @ CommBank Stadium, Parramatta

Absolutely dumb. Just dumb. How some of these blokes got a top 30 spot is argument against expansion. I have no other words for this basket case

    Can Toulouse survive?

Because it's not a suburb of Wigan or a township in Wakefield. The M62 corridor needs to expand. The solution I think is a revamped Super 8s as that was, to me, a fairer, more balanced system. Still gives the Championship sides something to attain for (chance of promotion) and see if they are...

    The Game 2022 Crowd Watch

15k for Souths vs Cowboys is an absolute joke. For so many members, they just don't attend games. Too busy being a plague at other venues.

    Can Toulouse survive?

Catalans were given a 3-year exemption, no? Toulouse should have been afforded the same opportunity. League in England is struggling and this narrow minded approach to keep it "traditional" is going to further impact upon it. The solution, for mine, is 14 teams and a licensing system where...

    End promotion and relegation

Salford and Hull KR were unfortunate victims of that Super 8s nonsense. London too. Look at the last few "big" stories to be promoted - Toronto were winless then went bust (ok, COVID impacted them heavily). Leigh won 2 games after being awarded entry due to Toronto's expulsion. Toulouse have...

    End promotion and relegation

Leigh absolutely walking the Championship, and, well, Toulouse likely to do the same next season. Bradford and London are exceptions to the rule of yo-yo teams because well, Bradford had the admin turmoil and threat of liquidation leading to their exodus of players. London, well, not sure. A lot...

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Sydney @ Sydney Cricket Ground, Moore Park

Absolutely insipid. Laurie about the only bloke who cares. Pole played well in the pack. Joe O wasn't doing much. Musgrave, Tamou, Kelma (again) doing sweet NOTHING in the pack. Doueihi plagued by a shocking game. Legit the real team must still be up at Suncorp. The f**k has that team gone...

    WA BEARS

WA is a pipe dream. If the NRL wanted it to stay around, they would've fought harder when the Super League collapsed, rather than investing their attention to Melbourne. I hope they never get a team.

    The Game 2022 Crowd Watch

How can the club, the NRL or whomever makes these decisions actually charge these prices for a freaking club game. My goodness. The whole grand final fiasco exposes that all the NRL commission care for is lining their pockets with as much cash as possible.

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

Again, once in 4 years. Not much to ask imo. Still plenty of time to go to Vegas.

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

And? You think they'd fob off a once in four year event to play against a tier 1 international team? Interesting.
  13. Tigers1986

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

Why not? It'd be a select base of clubs and most of those players would be fringe players for the England setup. The gate and opportunity to play a tier 1 nation at home would be tantalising. It was a huge part of the appeal of the Lions tour in Union [I'm not sure of its make up now post-covid]

    2022 NSW Cup

NZ Warriors are back in the NSW Cup for next season, as well as the SG Ball. Would assume it goes to 13 teams now and Mounties can retain their position.

    End promotion and relegation

P&R works in football, as there's countless levels of the pyramid well established and it's engrained in European culture. Clubs can build time to sustain themselves and there's not the lost markets if they fall out given the legitimate chance of return as well as the competitiveness of the...

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

Roo tour was in the works before COVID. The "big" clubs would absolute adore the chance to play against Australia in the autumn and give their fans something to 'compete' against the Premier League and Union internationals. St Helens, Leeds, Wigan, Catalans, sure, through in a game against...

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

The Australian jersey would mean more if they played more. An absolute MUST is the return of the Kangaroo tour for mine. Not sure how I'd schedule it though. 2023 Kangaroos Tour 2024 Lions Tour 2025 World Cup 2026 Pacific 6 Nations 2027 Kangaroos Tour

    Australia won't win 2022 WC

Australia can still put up a very competitive squad regardless of withdrawals of players from second-tier nations. Tedesco, Munster, DCE/Cleary, Cook/Hunt as a spine, Fox, Burton, Gagai, Latrell in the centres, not sure on forward pack but Murray, Carrigan, Jake T, will be around the side for...

Match Discussion: Round 23 vs Sydney @ Sydney Cricket Ground, Moore Park

Hargraves alone will destroy our feeble pack. Then Keary can link up Tedesco, Manu, Sualii for a feast. I think this, fittingly, could be a cricket score at the SCG. To ease the pain, I'm going to captain Manu for my supercoach prelim.
