    If we aren’t goin for an ‘elite’ outside back, could do a lot worse then Brenko Lee. Same can be said for Aitken. I’ve always been critical of his defence but IC seems to be decent in getting a solid defensive pattern across the field.

    Call me crazy but surely you address the need for an outside back when you actually have space in your cap rather than praying for a late season offload or two? Maybe instead of signing 2 forwards? But get JAC & all is forgiven Ivan.

    That's my point though, if he didn't play for the Roosters I don't think he'd be considered anywhere near international level nor be commanding those dollars. He's a serviceable player, could be a good pick up, but I don't think he's a bargain buy. He's Dunamis Lui from a better club.

    Shit I’m agreeing with MX way too much. I must be wrong. But seriously the bloke would be worth $250k absolute tops if he was coming from any other club bar the Roosters. Not a bad player but I personally think he’s a dime a dozen type. I could be wrong but.

    I'm sure he is & I think he makes our 17 regardless. Just another strange signing imo. Middle of the road type player in a position where we aren't exactly weak... while in others we clearly are.

    Not really the point though is it. There isn't a deadline on when you need to sign a player... We've now got $300k less to spend on an outside back so you're limiting your potential options.

    That's rubbish. I'm questioning the potential signing of a player who seems to have similar attributes of 2, 3 or 4 other players we already have on our books.

    Yeo, prior to last year, was one of the most consistent edge forwards in the game. He was clearly affected by injury last year, I’d be giving him first crack on the edge again. If that doesn’t spark him, move him to the middle after a few weeks.

    If we’ve $600k to spend, I don’t want half of it spent on a player who really isn’t much better or dissimilar than what we have, in a position where we’re not especially weak in. FWIW I rate Capewell, I just don’t see how anyone can look at our squad & think we’re short on that type of player...
