2020 team

It's a bit annoying to hear this shit about wanting to play together. They were BOTH off contract in 2018 and signed with different clubs within a month of each other. They're both the wrong side of 30 and must have known this could have been their last contract. If it was really that important...

Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

It's the same money, what difference does it make? Unfortunately the whole way this thing has played out has made it hard for him to get another contract.

Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

I reckon we extend him Hear me out. Extend him for an extra 2 years by splitting his existing contract over that same time period. If he's not playing anyway but can't be medically retired why not try to ease the cap pressure?

    2020 team

Morris seems the type of professional who even if denied the release will just get on with the job. Dugan on the other hand... Morris is off contract this year anyway, go to the Chooks next year mate.

Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

Very interesting question I was wondering exactly the same thing today. There's no precedent but it will only be a matter of time I think before it's allowed. It's just as important and just as debilitating as physical health so why not?

Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

Sure but he's what 29 and off contract? Not a smart move. Also he wasn't our best back last year, Morris was.

Latrell. Bring in the IZZ. Vindicated & free to sign anywhere.

The English Super League Salary cap is less than HALF the NRL salary cap. There is an exception for ONE marquee player per club. There is a reason the NRL does not lose players in the prime of their career to the ESL.

And he'll get a proper welcome in round 6.

:flag_white:️‍:rainbow: @WiganWarriorsRL can confirm that their round six game against <a...

Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

They're probably interested if we're paying at least half his freight. Given the amount of time Moylan and Johnson are likely to spend off the field I don't think we can afford to release him. Also, this is the last year we have a cap penalty and we're already under the cap for this year.

Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

These comments from Scott 3 DAYS AGO have not aged well: “I would have had too many distractions in Sydney and it just would have been a little bit too full on. It would have been easier for me to go out and end up … not in trouble, but just not take footy as serious as I did when I moved away...

media beat up. 7 into 5 can't go so obviously a couple are missing out.

Who will we play in the GF?

Without Burgess I don't think their pack will have the same sting to it. The other forwards really looked to him as a leader.

    Moylan

Becomes an interesting conundrum. If Moylan does go down, do you bring Kennedy up or put Dugan at the back and play a genuine winger like Ronaldo. I'd probably go the latter but there isn't much in it.

    Fifita to titans

His metres were fine, his defence was fine and his offloads were fine. The main issue with him last year was his high error rate. Making 20 or 30m less a game is fine if you aren't also gifting the opposition 50m.

    Fifita to titans

Pretty sure it was a paycut and an extension. From memory when he re-signed it was for about 850K which is what he was worth at the time. Over the past few seasons I reckon that's probably reduced to about 650-700.

The middle and who gets the 13 jumper this season?

I'm happy with this. I thought Williams was strong defensively it was his shit hands that f**ked us in 2019.

    Scomo saving me

Any Labor PM who had been overseas would have been copping it just as much. It is particularly funny given the criticism he levelled at the Victoria Police Commissioner during the Black Saturday fires a few years ago.

    Jesse Ramien

Here's to hoping he regains his form which put him on the cusp of NSW selection. I don't think theres currently a mortgage over either of those spots in the Blues backline...

Townsend keen to stay a Shark

Yeah just like everywhere else. If you were the boss at the sharks what's the most you'd pay for him?
