Josh Dugan could start NRL season in reserves after rejecting Super League move

If Dugan was to try that approach no club would touch him afterwards, this would basically be his last contract, by going to that ploy
And besides, the angle of the club would be obvious to any other individual & would back Dugan to take that stance. There is no way a player of that calibre, our best back last year, should play reserve grade.

Melbourne are chasing him AS a CENTRE. Theres 1.
Before the Momorovski swap deal with Wests ... but now ?

I doubt Bellamy would even consider it now, unless we footed minimum 75% ... if his attitude is poor, Super League is where Duges will end up, no other NRL club will touch him.

So players would back a player who has come back unfit with attitude problem, still dosent want to play wing, where just to play first grade is a privilege, he is a paid employee and expected to do as required.

No different to a white collar or blue collar worker, if he dosent like it find another job elsewhere, or put his big boy boots on suck it up and do what is expected of him, if you listened to the boys podcast, Dugan has not come back with right attitude

Yeah, you have pointed out the positives but let's not forget about last season. Lots of injuries, got flogged in finals by bogey team, big buys didn't earn their salary, and their defence was poor at times. I'd give him until his contract is up before deciding.
But going by the clubs history with coaches and their culture of liking good blokes, your right he will be signed for further 5 years, regardless of results.
Morris didn't buy the dogs who underperformed. That was all Flanno with Gals advice.

Even without the swap they wouldnt touch him with a ten foot pole. They are astute buyers.

Oh the irony ;)
Let's see how it plays out then ... as usual, you will be proven totally wrong.
How it plays out is irrelevant. Bellamy has a clear job description for right centre. Titans are also interested & so are Roosters. If his attitude is that poor, the Sharks will be happy to let him go & pay half of the freight for next 2 years.
Or perhaps it isn't, & they won't, because he is probably our first back selected for first grade.

Duges and Moylan must go down as the two worst signings in Sharks history....Not the worst players we've ever signed but purely from a financial point of view, to have over 1.6 million of our salary cap tied up for the next 2 years on those 2 is a massive mistake. Ironically they were both knee-jerk reactions to losing Jimmy and Birdy and neither of them have achieved much since either.

Iron Hair Chad is first back picked. 100+ consecutive games and counting.

I didn't mind the signings so much, but 4 years for each was typical Sharks' stupidity.

Thanks Flanno.
