    Tonight's trial.

    Beau Ryan lasted about 10 minutes. He was walking freely, and did not want to come off, but it was troubling him slightly. Also copped a knock to the head early on. Nathan Stapleton was knocked into the middle of next week on one of newcastles tries. Assisted off the field.

    You don't get binned for stuff like that. Cautioned, reported or sent off are the only 3 options. The bin is used for professional fouls, fighting or repeated penalties. Stuff like that. The ref cannot send you to the bin for high tackles, or spear tackles.

    Ot: Townsville.

    Cowboys Lagues in the middle of town opposite Holiday Inn has courtesy buses to and from the ground. But there are huge queues to get back after the game so be prepared. The ground is out in the sticks so the bus is really the best option. Nightclubs abound in Townsville. They all suck.

    As a Sharks supporter who gets to as many home and away games as possible each year (including Townsville), I have yet to come across anything of the sort that you mentioned with Cronulla fans trying to stir up trouble. Opposition teams when having a win at Townsville might sing their team song...

    Where I can find those 1-2 foot long plastic hand held air horns are on sale. The ones that annoy the hell out of you when you are at the league and someone blasts one in your left ear. I am searching for them everywhere but cannot find them. Thanks people.

    Archer's 10 metres and slowing down the play the ball decisions were against BOTH SIDES all night. So, you could say consistency was shown by Archer. Unarguable... Cat Barrett's try. Scored off 1 of the most BLATENT FORWARD passes I have ever seen let off followed by a secondary forward pass...

    I'm not too disappointed. We finished where we deserved on the table, and we had a real dig against the premiership favourites. If only we had finished a spot or two higher on the table, things might have been different.

    Having been in the live audience, I can tell you that both the players AND the audience groaned when Thug Johns was granted 3 points when he played in the losing side in the last round. But relief showed when Thurston got the final 3 points for the win.
