    Pacific giant killers!

Yeah what I'm saying is we need professional pathways for nations to progress. Relative to the size of their league Ireland gets a decent amount of players signed up by semi-pro clubs in the UK, but it's never going be more than a trickle unless there is some sort of professional club or pathway...

    Pacific giant killers!

That doesn't really happen any more, they got flogged by amateur teams and it was mostly a pointless exercise. The thing is that amateur domestic RL is largely irrelevant to what we see in a World Cup. Again, how many of the Fiji or Tonga teams are products of the domestic Fiji or Tonga RL? If...

    Pacific giant killers!

Gee if only you were the CEO we might get a billion dollars like the NRL does.

    Pacific giant killers!

Firstly it does, it helped set up and fund the RLEF which has done more for international development than everything else in the past 120 years combined. Secondly Super League (you mean the RFL) does not have a billion dollar TV deal like the NRL does.

Lebanon might have the most promise after this World Cup.

No it doesn't? Unless the ARL try retrospectively telling people they can't play Origin because they played for Lebanon the previous year or something, which they are not going to do.

    Pacific giant killers!

There will always be Euro and American etc teams in the World Cup, a certain number of qualifying spots are given to each region.

Lebanon might have the most promise after this World Cup.

No but international eligibility has, by definition players are no longer committed to any one nation so the ARL's self-defeating 'rules' don't matter any more.

    Pacific giant killers!

Ireland would've beaten Samoa pretty easily and had a crack against Aus/NZL/Eng if given the chance. Just a shame about the draw and the fact that some of the Euro teams sent shithouse understrength squads, although to be honest the strength of all the tier 2 nations seems to vary greatly...

    2017 RLWC - QF2 - NZL 2-4 FIJ @ Wellington

Kidwell should've been sacked on the spot as soon as he said "the key is we"

    2017 RLWC - QF2 - NZL 2-4 FIJ @ Wellington

Weren't some people pushing for the final at Wellington? WTF has happened here?

    2017 RLWC - QF2 - NZL 2-4 FIJ @ Wellington

Can't we get some different commentators for these Fiji matches? Sick of hearing about Kevin 'Nine-gama'.

Lebanon might have the most promise after this World Cup.

Origin is irrelevant to international RL.

    France

Why? Not like people in France don't already know what rugby union is.

    Welsh Development

No, TBH in the next couple of years we'll be lucky if they both still exist.

Toronto and potential for an NRL replica

Totally ignorant but I always wondered why the NRL never did anything in Indonesia, Jakarta is the second biggest city in the world and a pretty big economy.

    Should be playing 1st grade!

You've got both of those wrong, the Ireland #12 is Oliver Roberts who plays for Huddersfield and the Wales #2 is Rhys Williams who plays for London Broncos.

League One: 14 teams in 2018

Lol no, it's nothing to do with juniors. Barely any teams outside Super League have juniors, maybe one or two in League 1 and only London Broncos in the Championship. Not sure where you've got this from but it's way off.

League One: 14 teams in 2018

The RFL's job is not to help out random amateur teams.
