    I heard the Billy Slater and Johns raving on about the Warriors. Based on a performance against Souffs? I'm enjoying the season, but have not booked the GF yet.......no hang on I have, but not expecting to watch warriors....but maaaaaybe.

    We've improved, they haven't. Well we weren't within Coo-ee of Brisbane and Penriff. Could improve and still not be near them at full strength.

    RTS was very average on the wing in the first half. Terrible defence and lack of involvement. A good team will exploit his defence big time. Manly are a good team. He did get better in second half, but not sure if that was just souffs were worse.

    I did notice that they only named 16 at the time I looked. Do they have to name players on reserves list for 1st grade in the NSW cup?

    I loved one of Wayne Bennett's re-quotes, "if I listened to the fans, I'd be sitting with them". Apparently Buddy Ryan said it first. But just sayin. Webster has done OK with his calls so far and he lives and dies on his decisions.

    Mandatory 11 day stand down as he failed the HiA. I'm guessing based on no actual evidence , that CNK is some way away. Webster has been putting players in the team list when they aren't quite there. CNK has not been heard from.

    wasn't great is understatement. Probably the worst I've seen a warriors team play and actually win. I guess that should be a positive. Really hard game to enjoy. Even when they won, I was still grumpy.

    Seriously, I thought that the warriors were just short of garbage on Friday night. They won, god knows how. Blew a shitload of tries, poor defence reads. I was full of optimism at the start of the season. Thats fading.

    I was fizzing at our depth at the start of the year. Didn't expect it to be tested in Round 2. Likely 0 and 2 to start season....Metcalf definitely out? Not hearing that much.

    See the sharks have some serious muscle in the centres. Roger/Ford and Berry/Capewell will need to be at their best.

    Genuine speed out wide is the Warriors big weakness. In the Semi, Brisbane gassed them big time. I did notice a change in defence system in the trials when the wingers jammed in. Lets hope it works.

    I was happy as after that. What was the penalty count? 10-0 against. The attacking shape looked good. They found holes and were running some good lines. The defense however was better. Notice that rush defense on the ball side. Also noticed a new pattern when the wingers jammed in. Few mistakes...

    It was a trial. Would still like to have won it against a wooden spoon contender. Take what you will from it. What I saw is RTS going OK against modest opposition and the team looking quite fit. Laban looks like somebody to get excited about.

    I don't think so. A token award, awarded by the public, not the judges. You have to be Rugby or rowing to be awarded a halberg. Bunch of private school snobs. The Halbergs are irrelevant to anyone who follows league.

    2023/24 Off Season

    Well I have been watching the Warriors off season training and media stuff. I'm getting way sucked in big time and can barely suppress my excitement at the upcoming season. Last year, I was like "who cares, we will come last". Might watch the first few games and then cancel my Sky subscription...
