    Losing weight means you lessen the chance of getting it anyway. Go you. It really upsets me when I tell people I'm diabetic and they look me up and down and say "type 1 or 2?"

    Ahhhh. It's making the insulin work better to break everything down. That makes more sense. Gotta be real careful insulin resistance doesn't turn into diabetes. Glad it working for you :)

    Insulin resistance causes high blood sugar. Metformin is a type two diabetes drug which reduces blood sugar, therefore does the opposite of suppressing insulin, it encourages it to work better. Something doesn't add up to me, but I'm not the professional.
