    RTS returning to the NRL

Sailor tearing the all blacks up? He only played 5 games against the all blacks (4 starts and 1 bench) and scored 1 try in a game they got 50 put on them. Wendell was a decent union player but I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, he was also one of the best league wingers ever. In...

    RTS returning to the NRL

Tom Wright left as a 21 year old who’d just made his debut, I’m not sure what you expect from 20-21 year old rookies but the majority at that age aren’t solidified 1st graders. In terms of current wallabies I think it’s pretty irrefutable that the current 4th choice winger(Suliasi Vunivalu)...

100%, positioning and things like that are definitely an inexperience and rawness thing, catching a football is not

    Lachie Miller

I don’t think we can simply put it down to being raw, he played football long enough to know how to catch a ball.

    Rumoured Targets 3

What makes it even more difficult is we have quite a few utilities so hard to even sell the idea of the bench hooker/utility role

100%, realistically the roosters have a tiny junior catchment due to a certain administrator who was working for both south’s and the NSW RL at the same time rezoning most of the eastern suburbs junior clubs into the south’s comp. The fact that they got screwed at the time has made them look...

A few weeks ago we were saying and hoping the errors were just down to inexperience and other factors and would improve, since then it’s gotten worse, way worse. I think we’re going to have to accept that he’s a fullback version of SKD, the errors are just part of his make up

    Rumoured Targets 3

I doubt any decent Pom would come over knowing Brailey will most likely be first choice when he’s fit again next season (until he gets hurt again)

Tyson Smoothy Qld cup hooker of the year in 2022, also was the goal kicker for his side and kicked at 78%.

    Lachie Miller

Yep, if he’s going to continually make 2-3 errors every game I’m not sure if he can offer enough positives to outweigh that

Match Discussion: Round 8 vs North Qld @ Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville / Wulgurukaba

Miller will still miraculously be award dally M votes

Match Discussion: Round 8 vs North Qld @ Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville / Wulgurukaba

I’d be shocked if Miller doesn’t lead the league in errors by years end.

    Knights Lower Grade Stuff

From watching that match really liked the look of the halfback Haami Loza and the edge backrower Austyn Ah Toon-Hotene. Hillier is good but he’s also way bigger than anyone else on the field so it’ll be interesting to see how he goes when he’s not 20kg heavier than everyone else

    Sack Adam O'Brien

100%, I think that’s part of the reason he’s excelled for Qld. The previous game plan here of give it to KP and hope for the best has done him no favours

    Sack Adam O'Brien

I think the template is there now on how to play without having to rely on KP. If KP can just add that extra bit of quality or even just give those outside him an extra yard of space because the opposition defence will be more wary of him that will help immensely.

    Sack Adam O'Brien

I think the change of approach in attack has been brought about by necessity more than anything else. Previously and even in round 1 the game plan was pretty much 4 settlers and then give it to KP and hope for the best, moreover the our attack was predicated on making sure our key players were...

    Rumoured Targets 3

In the clubs defence I don’t recall many injury prone players been signed recently, they just seem to become that way after joining us

    Rumoured Targets 3

Way too injury prone particularly given he’d be the de facto backup dummy half to our already injury prone starting dummy half

I feel like when they caste votes they look at the good things a player does and tend to not pay as much attention to the errors.

    Phoenix Crossland

2 options in Qld cup would be Kyle Schneider from the Mackay Cutters, ex Central coast kid, represented NSW at under 16 and under 18 level. Tyson Smoothy would be my top choice, ex Qld under 18 captain, played a handful of 1st games for the storm back in 2021 and was Qld cup hooker of the year...
