    Funnily enough that is what a very senior person at the PLC said when he advised me of the proposed change. He basically said, if there is a truly valid reason for an EGM such as removing a Board Member for the right reasons, there won't be any problem getting the votes needed.

    No financial repercussions on the members who initiated the EGM (and rightly so) - it remains the rights of members to call for an EGM if they are unsatisfied with their Board. There are some ways to tighten this however and these are being discussed already.
